- Answer No it does not have to be connected to internet for recording. It will record whatever you tell it to record in setup but to view it remotely (from phone, etc.) it will need to be connected to internet.

QuestionCan I set up the cameras 200 feet from the internet source with 200 feet of cable ?? I want them on the outside of a 200 foot building. Can this be done?
