The Switch 2 can play Switch 1 games, so, if you get a Switch 2, these wheels can be used to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They are not, however, compatible with the regular Joy-Con on the original Switch. These wheels can only be used for the new Joy-Con 2, which cannot be used on Switch 1.
