A:AnswerDid you leave the AC adapter plugged in all the time. If so I was told by the manufacturer that this actually shortens the life of this product. They recommend you charge it for 24 hours and then unplug the recharging base until all the power is exhausted. Then you repeat the process to extend the life of this product.
A:AnswerInconsiderate of them to use a standard battery but hard wire it so it “can’t” be replaced…unless you have a Phillips screwdriver and a soldering iron.

A:AnswerThat's a great question! This wine opener has charging led light indicator. This will turn on and flash to let you know that your wine opener needs to be charged.
A:AnswerAll of our products that are sold in the United States and Canada are manufactured and UL approved for 110-120 voltage. We do not recommend the use of voltage converters or transformers because the discrepancy between voltages will alter the functionality of the products.
A:AnswerWe apologize for the inconvenience the Oster cordless electric wine opener has caused you. If the cork is stuck inside the cordless wine opener, you can try to move the cork back in the opener, then push the button down and you will slowly push the cork inside on the side to make sure it would come out of the bottle opener. Here is a link of a video to how easily it is being used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOSvA_cU3Fk&feature=player_embedded_uturn If non of these works for you, please call our customer care team at 1-(800) 334-0759. A:AnswerI have this model, and it opened a plastic cork with no trouble at all just last night. Just be sure to use the included foil cutter first, and you're good to go!
A:AnswerKeep it charging. The battery will run down if it's not charging and you won't know whether it's usable when you need it. Worse, it might stop in mid pull. And always remember to remove the cork because you especially don't want it to run down with the cork still in and you can't charge it.
A:AnswerI had same problem. I tried pliers several times but they kept slipping even though the cork was dry. I then tried needling a fork into the cork but it kept slipping off. The cork continued to crumble (which I thought might eventually help me if it crumbled completely). Finally I went back to the pliers (I could not find my needle-nose pliers, these were regular thick-nose pliers), and I was successful. I had to dig them deeper into the wine opener to gain a better grip on the cork than the first attempt. If you go the pliers route, turn them counter-clockwise (I thought maybe since I was looking in the reverse direction of removal, it would be clockwise, but no, that was not the case) facing the bottom of the wine opener. Good luck!
