QuestionWhat is the cord length for the backup camera? I drive a Ram 1500 truck & would need longer than 10ft of cord. In my experience these Cameras usually comes with the 10ft camera cord that would fit a car but not a truck.

- Answer Hello! Our rear camera cables are 18FT. Depending on how the rear camera cable is wired, you may or may not need an extension cable. We inquired our installation tech's and they informed us that they have been able to install these in pick-up trucks (Ford F-150) without any issues. However, if necessary, you can purchase an extension cable online.

- Answer Hello! You do not need to purchase internet for your vehicle in order to make this device work. Please note that the WIFI that our dashcam possess is simply for downloading videos wirelessly from the dashcam to your phone. It does not have the capabilities of live tracking or anything that would require internet access. If you have any further questions, please contact us!

- Answer Dashcams being able to record license plates only works if certain conditions are met, like weather and speed of the two vehicles. With 4K resolution, you will have the best chance at capturing license plates due to the quality.

- Answer Hello, We would recommend tightening the hinge of your rear view mirror to ensure it can withstand the weight of the dashcam. Officially, this model only works with the rubber straps it came with as its mounting mechanism.

- Answer Hello, The rear for the M2 Max Pro is usually mounted right above the license plate. This process usually involves running the rear camera cable along the trim lines of the vehicle all the way through the trunk. Alternatively, you could mount it inside but this would render the smart drive features inoperable.

- Answer Yes! It is also a back up camera. There is a red wire hanging out of the rear camera that is meant to be wired into the reverse light in your vehicle. That way, when the vehicle is put into reverse, it will automatically show you the rear camera and add back up lines to assist you in reversing.

- Answer Hello, Yes, the rear camera cable itself is 18ft and it should be sufficiently long even for the bed of a pickup truck. However, if an extension cable is needed, these can be purchased through third party sellers as the m2 max pro uses widely-used rear camera configurations. - Answer I believe it comes with everything needed to install you may need to research your particular cars manuals. But I believe its pretty straight forward if plugging it into a lighter outlet
