- Answer I would think so. The thing we like about our Ring Pro system is it can be self monitored when we are away from home. You get sensor trigger notices and you can view all cameras on the system from your phone or tablet.

- Answer No, this item can only used thru Ring's alarm system because its operation requires it. You cannot link them!

- Answer Yes. You will need to add the special garage door brackets for them to work properly. Easily found on Amazon.

QuestionAre the holes on the back of the motion detector for screws so that you can screw the motion detector into drywall? I don’t want to mount it into the wall all using the adhesive backing strip.

QuestionCan the motion sensor be mounted onto the wall using screws? If not, does Ring sell a mounting bracket that can be screwed onto the wall for the motion sensor? I read quite a few reviews on Amazon of people complaining about the mounting tape wearing off

- Answer Yes, you can mount with screws, but they are not provided. The portion that adheres to the wall has holes for mounting screws. You will just have to buy them separately at Home Depot or a hardware store.

- Answer Yes, you will receive notifications when doors are opened. You can always adjust the settings in the app as to how much or how little notifications you receive.

- Answer Hello. Good question. No, the Ring Alarm Contact Sensor is not designed to detect breaking glass. However, Ring Alarm does have a glass break sensor available (sold separately). The Ring Alarm Glass Break sensor monitors glass windows and doors for break-in attempts. Using AI technology, the sensor detects the sound of glass breaking up to 25 feet. The contact sensor is made up of two parts: the sensor and the magnet. One part should be mounted on the door or window, the other on the trim. It doesn't matter which one goes where. - Answer Vwry easy. I messed one up when putting it up. Just a hair dryer to gently warm it up and it peels right off. Get some goo gone doe the resudue.

- Answer You can. By default, the base station and keypads will chime when the sensor activates (in this case, when the door opens). In the settings on the app, you can set phone alerts for door opening or closing. If you set this, you will get a phone alert within a couple of seconds of the sensor activating, telling you the date and time the door was opened.
