    • Answer Yes. I only used the power cord to charge the camera's batteries before installation. I ordered the small solar panel to keep the battery charged after installation. Very easy process.

  • QuestionWhat size tool do I need to get to take the battery out, My wife threw away the boxes with the tools in them, It doesn't have the regular screwdriver or philips Chan.

    • Answer No need to use tools to access the battery. Sinply twist the bottoms section of the camera lose and the cap will come off. Reach inside and unlatch the battery then pull it out. It's just a s easy putting the battery back. Just reapeat the previous steps but in reverse

    • Answer No, you can use your phone as a wi-fi connection. Make sure you have a plan with unlimited data. We use ours when we go RVing.

  • QuestionCan the Indoor Ring camera be disabled when I am at home? If so, how can I disable it?

    • Answer Mine is outside, rather than inside the house, but settings alow you to either snooze or turn off the motion detection. The camera would, however, still be working. I suppose you could just take it down, or remove the battery, to ensure nothing would be recorded.

    • Answer Hi, if you are not securing out of reach of passersby, I would encourage using this indoors. I have one set up on the inside sill of a window facing the outside (street) and the video is excellent during the daytime. However the lights on the front of the camera do interact with the glass of the window and the view is obstructed at night. They remain on all the time at night to support recording in night mode, so there is no way to avoid the glare that they produce on the glass of the window at night.

    • Answer Audio works well. My mom isn't able to do a few things on her own so I can speak through the camera & turn on music for her on the alexa. I hope that helps. We speak regularly through the cam. I dont know how far one can hear as we have multiple & she lives in a one bedroom apt,, so everywhere is a close radius for us. Good internet is a must.
