QuestionCompatible with older Rocketfish speakers/receiversI have two older rocketfish speakers and would like to add another. Will this speaker work using an older receiver? Will the older speakers work with the receiver supplied with this speaker?

- Answer No, this speaker uses Bluetooth while the other speakers use Rocketboost. They are not compatible.

QuestionAny way to get rid of audio lag?I have a bluetooth transmitter connected to my Roku. When I play Pandora, the music comes out of my home stereo speakers inside and the Rocketfish speaker outside on the patio. However, there is a really bad time lag between the two. Like more than 0.5 seconds. They're only about 12 feet apart. Sounds like two bands playing out of sync with each other. I'm not sure if it's my bluetooth transmitter or the speaker that's responsible for the lag, or if that's just "what you get" with bluetooth. Anybody know?

- Answer Not sure, but suspect the BT processing at transmission and reception is causing the delay. Probably no way to eliminate the delay without a hardwire connection. I connect my patio speakers through another receiver (so I can control the volumes separately) via hardwire (Directv receiver source for both through the AV receiver) and haven't noticed any significant delays, but I was able to run wires through my bark to some rock shaped speakers. Otherwise I pair a BT speaker with iPhone or iPad and listen to music on Pandora, Amazon, Apple Match, etc.

QuestionBluetooth Adapter plugged in to TV--would this work with that?Goal is to have the speaker stream the sound from the TV to the outdoors if outside grilling (TV is in view through glass doors). It's for the sports fanatic man for when he's watching the game. Would this work?

- Answer Yes. I have a blue tooth transmitter for my TV and the sound will stream to the speaker. I have a TV on my deck and use the speaker for sound while in my hot tub. The blue tooth transmitter I have has a very minor delay, but it will work just fine!

QuestionHow many watts does this produce?

- Answer Wattage isn't a good way to compare speakers anymore because every manufacturer has their own method of measuring wattage and 90% of the time it is inaccurate or it is only that wattage at one specific sound frequency or band. The speaker is very loud but not suitable as a replacement for a PA. Anything that requires a physical connection to a power outlet is going to be louder than this, but this is the loudest battery powered speaker I've found so far.

- Answer The first thing is to test other devices with the speaker. I would also recommend trying it with both the Bluetooth and connected with the cable. If it still is not working, then return it to the Geeksquad at your local store for warrant services.

- Answer This speaker will not be compatible with your Mac, but it is Bluetooth compatible. To use this speaker you would need a phone or Bluethooth enabled device to hook up and play through the speaker.

- Answer It should only flash red about 5 seconds. If it is not going to a blinking or solid blue after that, you will want to have the speaker reviewed under the manufacturer warranty.

QuestionMy RocketFish WSP-313 plays at full volume with my iPhone 5, but not my iPad Air.It was playing at normal volume with iPad Air the night before. I went to use it the next morning, and it would only play at a very low volume. It plays at normal volume with my iPhone. I didn't change my settings.

- Answer Try and go into Bluetooth settings and forget this device and re sync the speaker, I had the same problem with my android phone and not my ipad. This worked for me. Enjoy, Reddog6845

- Answer No, the speaker will broadcast whatever is coming from the phone, but you will not be able to speak to the person on the other end. They won't be able to hear what you're saying to them.

- Answer Yes it is. It has a built in 3.5 mm aux connection that you can connect to your DirecTV box. You can also connect it to the TV using the same connection.
