A:AnswerMount comes with lag bolts and wall taps to mount to walls of different types/situations ...pre-drill holes into studs through Sheetrock. Be sure to use the correct size drill bit (slightly smaller than lag bolts) Or use wall taps. Do not over tighten bolts! Should be snug. Not necessary to hit studs if using wall "taps". If using wall taps, be sure to use the correct size drill bit (not too big, not too small) Lightly hammer in wall taps flush to wall surface. Hand tighten bolts through TV mount using a ratchet. In your situation you can pre-drill holes into metal studs and use wall taps into the Sheetrock.
A:AnswerIf I had that problem, I would drill a "test hole" (small) where I wanted to hang the mount and see if I hit the stud. If I did, then i'd go either way 16 " and try for the 2nd one. If not keep drilling until I hit one --you can always patch the drywall with spackle.
A:AnswerYou could try to tilt up your TV or remove the TV from the Wall Mount.

A:Answerrun to any hardware store and ask them for a scre depth gauge its a metal rod with measures on it that way you can gind the depth of screw you need then go back to hardware store wiht one fo the screws they included and tel them hat you need, but they should have sent you a plastick shim to make the screw shorter, its like a plastic tube that you put the screw threw so it only threads to a certian depth
