A:AnswerYes, depending on the content. However, you need to check the HDCP on your reciever. To output 4k, the reciever the Roku is attached to needs to be HDCP 2.2. Otherwise you'll need to hook the Roku up to a different input and run an optical cable back to the reciever
A:AnswerThe remote control has a headphone jack and volume buttons on the side that work only on the headphones. This means you are attached to the remote rather than the tv or the Roku box, so you can sit anywhere in the room you want as long as the remote is with you. I have even left the room and ran to the kitchen for a moment without having to take my headphones off, I just carry the remote with me and I can still hear whats happening. I have problems with earbuds as well and I use Sony over the ear headphones.
A:AnswerNo, it mutes the TV when the earphone jack is used. I have had problems with the earphone jack not working on my Roku 3 though after a while: doesn't mute the TV OR play sound through the headphones/earbuds.
A:AnswerGo to settings and select Power. You can select power off there or just select power saving mode , which appears to turn it off after 30 minutes of non use. Would just turn it off if you will be gone for days or weeks. Hitting the OK button will turn it back on.
A:AnswerYes, so if you're watching a show on the Roku that was originally shot in 720p like most TV shows, the Roku will upscale the quality to 1080p. The quality won't be as crisp and clear as native HD, but it's still a noticeable improvement.
A:AnswerNo, it sounds like the problem is your internet bandwidth, I have a Samsung and a Vizio and both stream fine, I have a Roku on my Vizio. Samsung streams thru the T.V. Just fine
A:AnswerYes it does, I use VUDU as my main movie hub, I wish Apple TV had the VUDU app, I would get rid of my Roku 4, I've had nothing but problems, I'm on my second unit, Bestbuy was kind enough to swap the original purchased Roku
A:AnswerNo, over the air does not run through the Roku and it does not have sufficient memory to record. There are some subscription services, such as Sling TV that allows you to watch some cable channels and on demand, as well as, Fox.
A:AnswerYou can't watch regular channels live. I primarily watch Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon but these require subscriptions. There may be other options I am not aware of.
