A:Answer Unfortunately, 2.1 soundbars have some difficulty spreading the sound around. When you have a true 5.1 surround sound system, dialogue will always come out of the front center speakers and the ambient noise/music/SFX will go through the other surrounding speakers. If you're just using a 2.1 ,like a soundbar, all of that sound becomes centralized, making dialogue hard to hear. This soundbar has a "Surround Mode" on the remote and you can turn in on/off. Doesn't really make that much of a difference, though. These come with separate surround satellite speakers, which can definitely help as well (I think an extra $100 purchase).
