- Answer Yes... It can. And very well... amazingly well. In fact, so well, that asking the question a week ago, and me answering it just now, doesn't do it justice, If it was faster, i could travel back in time, and answer the question easily... maybe the future versions of solid states will allow time travel!

- Answer Your Laptop appears to be equipped with only a single SATA II (a.k.a. SATA 300 or SATA 3.0 Gbs) bay. Though this drive is a SATA III (a.k.a. SATA 600 or SATA 6.0 Gbs) it should be backwards compatible with SATA II bay like most SSDs are.

QuestionMy HDD is no longer working in my HP Pavillion 6500 Desk top. can I up grade to this and install the Windows 10 OS to it? Also do I need to also replace the HDD currently in the machine with a new one to be used for storage?

- Answer The switch uses a EMMC chip on the motherboard you cannot upgrade its built in drive using a standard drive.

- Answer Specification-wise the two versions are identical outside of the small space difference. Each version was intended for different retailers, but for some reason Best Buy has both.

- Answer If his laptop has an empty drive bay, which it likely does, yes it will fit, assuming the SSD he has now is a SATA drive and not an M.2 drive.

- Answer SDSSDH3-1T02-G25 vs SDSSDH3-1T00-G25 These two products are the same. Reading online the difference between the two is that they were made to ship to different retailers, but since SanDisk has resolved the issues internally.

- Answer No, MacBook drives look like a big SIMM directly in a socket on the motherboard. They are a unique form factor, not like a standard rectangular drive. Check out Otherworld computing for MacBook SSD upgrades. BTW for a 1TB upgrade you are looking at $600.
