QuestionI just set this up and the clock light is unbelievably bright! Is that there any way to dim the light or even turn it off? It’s really obnoxious and hurts my eyes, especially at night.

- Answer Ha. I know what you mean. I'm not aware it can be dimmed. But I haven't looked up in the manual. But it makes a great night light in kitchen. : )

- Answer Yes The microwave plugs into a 110 volt circuit and uses 1700 watts and should be on a dedicated 15 amp circuit.

QuestionI want to be able to input LESS than a minute many times. Can I, say, set for just 10 or 20 seconds at a time? My old Sharp is very handy in that way. Many times I just want to warm up a drink and don't want a minute or more.

QuestionWhen you press the number 1- does it just start it for 1 minute? Or can you press the amount of time you want and then hit start.

- Answer Yes, you can press the number one for a one minute time or you can set a time Koch using the controller. It will also do this for 23456. Additionally, there is a 30 second which will add 30 more seconds every time you press it.

QuestionI've been reading reviews on several microwaves. One complaint I've seen regards the light inside the microwave. This microwave does have a light, correct? I presume it comes on when the door is opened; can the light be on while an item is cooking?

- Answer There is a light in the upper right hand corner of the interior. It does come on when you open the door and stays on while food is cooking.

The kitchen timer alone has no power and can't cook, but you can heat up food items by pressing the "Time Cook" button and entering how long you want to cook an item. - Answer According to the manual that comes with this product, the warranty is up to 5 years: 1 year for parts and labor, and 4 years for the magnetron tube in the microwave for parts only (labor and service are not provided free of charge after the first year). I purchased a Sharp microwave (almost identical to this one) in the 1990's and it lasted about 25 years! Hope this helps!
