A:AnswerThe Temperature Sensor can be set to both a low threshold and a high threshold. It's intended for warning you if a given room has become too hot, or too cold. However, it doesn't update fast enough to detect a real fire emergency. We recommend installing our Smoke Detector for that purpose.
A:AnswerThe Temperature Sensor, like all other SimpliSafe sensors, should be able to last up to 3-5 years. However, it does need to link up with the SimpliSafe Base Station, which should be plugged in at all times.
