A:AnswerAm still looking for an installer (AM time) to help me install my door bell. Kindly recommend one. There after I will be able to enjoy its functions.
Thank you
A:AnswerIf you don't have a doorbell this is not a good choice unless you have power run for a doorbell already. You need to the two low voltage power wires for a traditional doorbell and a mechanical doorbell chime for this to work and install easily.
A:AnswerWith respect to the power requirements of the video doorbell: Standard doorbells typically get power from a panel-box mounted step down transformer that runs by low voltage wire (18 gauge 2 conductor insulated) to the door bell spring-loaded switch. The output voltage from the transformer is a stepped-down 16-18 volts (depending upon the AC line voltage which fluctuates from 117 - 120 volts-- and is AC (alternating current). The device uses this existing power source and converts the AC to DC (Direct Current) internally, which is needed to operate it.
A:AnswerI’m set up with their cloud and I get notifications. I don’t get texts. I like the notifications more. All I have to do is hit the notification and it opens the app on the camera or door bell that sensed the movement.
A:AnswerThe Video Doorbell Pro and the SimpliCam both connect to our service directly through your home's WiFi. So you do not need to connect them to a SimpliSafe security system. You'll still be able to set up, livestream, and sign up for cloud recordings, all through the SimpliSafe app.
