  • QuestionIm looking for headphones that connect to the tv. Will headphones work with this tv

    Asked by Jo.

    • Answer Hello Jo, Thanks for sending your question. We're happy to assist you with this today! The K-77XR8B TV is one of our newer BRAVIA XR models, and it has Bluetooth 5.3 built-in. That means you can easily pair a set of wireless Bluetooth headphones directly to the TV for a private listening experience. For a fantastic viewing experience, we would suggest two great options: the Sony WH-1000XM5 and the WH-CH720N. We're confident one of these models perfectly matches both your listening needs and your budget. To connect them, you'll just need to put your headphones into pairing mode, then go to your TV's Settings menu, look under Display & Sound, and select Audio output to pair a new Bluetooth device. If you'd like to dive deeper into all the features and functionalities this TV offers, you can explore the details right here: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/musltn1/v1/en-003/index.html We really appreciate you thinking of Sony for your purchase! Warm regards, Estefany

  • QuestionCould you please confirm whether the table-top stand for this model can be installed in the narrow position? I would like to know if the stand configuration can be adjusted to fit a smaller TV bench.

    Asked by AliK.

    • Answer Hi AliK, Yes, the table-top stand for the 77" Class BRAVIA XR8B OLED 4K HDR Google TV is multi-position and can be installed in a narrow position to accommodate a smaller TV bench. This model features a versatile 4-way stand that allows you to choose between an Outside (Standard) position and an Inside (Narrow) position. The narrow configuration is specifically designed to fit a smaller furniture footprint. The stand width in the Standard position is approximately 49 5/8 inches (1,258 mm), but in the Narrow position, the width is significantly reduced to approximately 23 1/2 inches (596 mm). Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab

  • QuestionWhat is the difference in a 8 or 8B

    Asked by MC.

    • Answer Hi MC, The XR8B is a retailer-exclusive version of the standard BRAVIA 8 OLED TV, designed to offer a similar core picture and performance at a potentially more accessible price point. Both share the same OLED panel and powerful XR Processor for incredible deep blacks and stunning 4K clarity. The main differences are that the XR8B typically excludes the bundled Sony Pictures Core movie credit promotion and may not feature the advanced XR Contrast Booster processing, which fine-tunes brightness for peak contrast. It's a fantastic option if you prioritize OLED picture quality and savings over those specific features. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab

  • QuestionI currently run my Samsung 1080 plasma through my 2016 Onkyo TX-RZ 800 avr with a great picture. Problem is it only supports 4k@60Hz. If I buy a XR8B, should I avoid running it through the avr? A new avr is a few years down the road Thanks' JimB

    Asked by JimB.

    • Answer Hi Gus, Thanks for your answer. I was concerned about the 60Hz from the avr compared to the TV’s 120Hz. Will the avr's speed affect watching live sports? I’m used to my plasma's 600Hz refresh time. Should I run a separate HDMI cable from my dvr to the other HDMI 2.1 port on the XR8B for live sports at 120Hz? Thanks, Jim

  • QuestionIs this TV brighter than the Sony x950H in SDR? I mainly watch sports in a bright room.

    Asked by cusefan82.

    • Answer Hi cusefan82, Thanks for your question! The X950H uses Full Array LED technology. The new BRAVIA XR8B OLED TV, however, features a more advanced processor and superior picture quality. Its perfect blacks and incredible contrast create a more impactful and lifelike image, making it the better choice for an exceptional viewing experience. Thanks for choosing Sony. • QuestionI have a 2020 Sony ah8 oled will this xr8b oled be brighter than my television?

    Asked by Todzilla.

    • Answer YES! Sony, in the last several years, has significantly increased the brightness(nits quotient)factor of ALL their OLED & Mini-LED TV's. This OLED will be very much brighter in any room.

  • QuestionIs this a specific Best Buy model? It sounds like the Bravia 8 but is lighter in weight. What are the differences between the Bravia 8 and XR8B?

    Asked by CuriousMister.

    • Answer Hi Tommy, thank you for your question! The Sony - 77" class BRAVIA XR8B is essentially the same as the Sony - BRAVIA 8, with a few differences that are mostly related to features. The XR8B does not include the Sony Pictures Core credits or promotional package. It also lacks the XR Contrast Booster feature that intelligently adjusts the brightness in both bright and dark areas. Other than that, they both offer the same OLED panel and 4K resolution, combined with the XR Processor, for an immersive and top-notch viewing experience. We hope this answers your question, and thank you for considering Sony products! Best regards, Dominick
