  • QuestionAre more sub woofers needed with this bar and can the Bar also be used wireless?

    Asked by Sage.

    • Answer Hi Sage, thanks for your question. No, you don't need more subwoofers. The HTA8000 soundbar does not support the use of multiple subwoofers directly. You can expand the audio experience with optional wireless subwoofers and rear speakers, but only one subwoofer can be connected at a time. The connection for an optional subwoofer or rear speakers is wireless. Hope this helps. • QuestionMy Bravia 8 sound bar gets out of sync with the video on my Bravia 9 65” tv. It seems to be worse with regular cable tv than with streaming channels. I can fix it by turning the tv off and back on. Is there a better fix?

    Asked by RichardC.

    • Answer Hi Richard, Thank you for reaching out. It sounds like there may be a timing mismatch in the communication between your cable box, TV, and soundbar. We recommend following these steps to establish a stable connection and resolve the delay: 1. Perform a "Handshake" with your devices: A fresh connection often resolves sync issues. Disconnect the Cable box, Soundbar, and TV from their electrical outlets for 2 minutes. Then, reconnect them in this specific order: TV, Soundbar and Cable box. 2. Ensure your TV is Up to Date: Software updates often include stability patches for external audio devices. You can check for updates by navigating to: [Settings] > [System] > [About] > [System Software update] > [Update your TV Software]. 3. Adjust the Digital Audio Output to PCM: Since this issue is more prominent with cable TV, changing the audio format can help bypass processing delays. Set your TV to PCM by going to: [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Audio output] — [Audio system settings] — [Digital audio output] — [PCM]. If the issue persists, please refer to our detailed troubleshooting guide for further sync adjustments: The audio and video on my TV are out of sync or there's an audio delay https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00026069 If you need personalized assistance, our technical support team is ready to help. • QuestionCan I hook up a roku

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Thank you for contacting Sony. Yes, you can absolutely hook up a Roku to your HT-A8000. You can plug the Roku directly into the HDMI IN port on the back of the soundbar for the best audio quality, or plug it into your TV and let the sound travel to the bar via the HDMI eARC/ARC connection. Both methods work perfectly! We appreciate your interest in Sony products. • Questionjust bought bravia 7 75 inch does this sound bar create bass ? or do i have to purchase sub woofer?

    Asked by tony.

    • Answer Yes the Bar 8 has limited bass capabilities based on its size and purpose. I added the wireless SW-5 Subwoofer to offload all the bass duties and it was a Gamechanger for my sound system. Good luck.
