    • Best answerHi SofiaJames, Sony DSCHX80 is capable of burst shooting: 10 fps (for up to 10 shots), panorama, face detection, various scene modes (Portrait, Advanced Sports Shooting, Landscape, Sunset, Night Scene, Handheld Twilight, Night Portrait, Anti Motion Blur, Pet Mode, Gourmet, Beach, Snow, Fireworks, Soft Skin, High Sensitivity). It can also shoot 4k photos and full-HD videos. It's good in low light situations. You can check this link for more info: https://docs.sony.com/release//Specs_DSCHX80.pdf. -Anthony

  • Q: does it fit in a pocket or purse. hx80  (2 Answers)

    By bea

    • Best answerThe camera is about the same size as a small phone in a bully case, so it fits in even small pockets pretty easily. The picture shows it in comparison to my hand, which is average size.

  • Q: whats the difference between this model and the Cyber-Shot HX90V?  (4 Answers)

    By Anonymous

    • Best answerI feel that is important to note that in addition to having no GPS, the HX80 also does not have the control ring surrounding the lens like the HX90V does. On the HX90V, this ring can be configured to adjust different settings when you turn it.

      By Alex

    • Best answerThat's what the Electronic Viewfinder is for. Use the pop-up EVF - by virtue of bringing your eye to the EVF, you are shading the tinier screen from the ambient (background) sunlight that is washing out the larger rear display.

    • Best answerThis is not the best low-light ambient (non-flash) camera. Even at the highest ISO setting, it's the relatively small opening of the lens (the apertures) that prevent you from getting a high enough shutter speed to freeze action in the dark tunnels like the Pirates ride. In short, you're going to get a lot of blurry photos. The flash is pretty effective, but it does take away from the natural lighting of the various scenes you see on the ride, and because it's small, the range is only effective to a certain distance. It may not be good enough to light the whole scene. It's the price you pay for a compact pocket camera. If you like this size camera and features, consider moving up to the Sony RX-100 series. The III, IV and V all have the same viewfinder display as the HX-80, but have a much larger sensor that is more light sensitive, plus lenses with bigger openings that can let you get away with non-flash shots such as the ones you're looking to capture. RX series is a lot more money though, but price = performance in cameras.

    • Best answerI have a 32GB SDHC in mine and the camera indicates nearly 5000 shots. You will recharge the battery several times before you run out of memory! I think it will hold up to 64GB or perhaps 128. 32GB is as large as I ever use, even on my Nikon D7100. Many times I just use 16 GB.
