- Answer Hi Wesley, No, you cannot connect a wireless speaker to this AV receiver. We recommend connecting wired speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. We also recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. Hope this helps! David

- Answer Receiver supports Dolby vision but depends what you are plugging into receiver more so if you get Dolby vision. Sometimes the streaming device needs to be forced to stay on dolby vision like my Roku Ultra. As a personal choice to get the best visual experience I plug streaming device that I will use for my streaming experience directly to the tv. All peripheral devices like blueray player and gaming system I will plug into the reciever.

QuestionWhen I bought the DH790 I also bought Atmos elevated speakers to place atop my existing front main speakers. But, the amp has no terminals for front high. Do I need to disconnect my existing rear high speakers in order to add these?

- Answer Hi Rich, Front high speakers, top middle speakers, and Dolby Atmos enabled speakers are referred to collectively as “height speakers”. - Answer Hi Clueless, thank you for your question. In order to control the receiver properly, you need to point the remote control at the remote control sensor on the receiver. Any obstructions between the remote control and the receiver should be removed. ~Earl

QuestionI have Polk TL 1 satellite speakers - 8 ohm with recommended Amp power/channel of 10-100 watts. Also have a Polk TL 1 center channel speaker-8 ohm, recommended amp power/channel 10-125 watts. Are these compatible with this product?

QuestionI will be using this receiver primarily for music. Does it have A/B speaker functionality for 2 listening zones? For example, Zone A is one room and Zone B is another. And, can both zones be on at the same time? If so, any instructions on that setup?

- Answer Hi John, No, the STRDH790 doesn't support the speaker A+B and zone 2 functions. We recommend our STRDN1080. Take note that zone 2 component output jacks on the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver will output analog video signals only. To output a signal from the ZONE 2 jacks, the source device must be connected to one of the composite or component inputs on the A/V receiver. Regards, David

- Answer Hi Al, You cannot connect a wireless speakers to this AV receiver. We recommend connecting wired speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. We also recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. These are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. There is a speaker pattern wherein you can play all the speakers the same time and its called MULTI ST. Hope this helps! David

- Answer I have 4 ceiling/wall mount Polk Audio speakers in use with the receiver and they work beautifully. Your question also made me wonder if the receiver was bluetooth compatible. I found this on line "Not only can you connect to the STR-DH790 through Bluetooth® and stream all your favorite tracks, but with Bluetooth® Standby, you can turn your receiver on straight from your paired smartphone or tablet." I hope this helps.
