Q: QuestionWhat does it mean by one way audio?

• A:Answer Hi Darren. The cameras have a microphone so that you can hear what’s happening as well as see it. 2-way audio would mean the cameras also have a speaker that you can talk through from your phone. We have other models in our NVR range that feature 2-way audio, but not on these particular cameras here. -SD, Swann Team

Q: Question?Can this system replace my current system, Swann DVK -84900 8ch dvr, w/old style pro series cameras? (e.g. pro 760, and 5mp bullet cameras?)

Q: QuestionWhat framerate do these cameras have? And what is the framerate of the recorded clips? I know they are 4K resolution, but I don't see anyting about the framerate. Thanks a bunch!

• A:Answer Hi Chad. This DVR system records 4K at 7 frames per second. If you're looking for higher frame rates & your budget allows then you may wish to have a look at Swann's 4K or 6K NVR systems. The 4K NVR cameras record at 15fps and the 6K ones have the option of 6K at 15fps or 4K at 30fps. Hope that helps. -SD, Swann Team

Q: QuestionCan I replace the 2TB HDD with a 12TB HDD?

• A:Answer Hi Ki. We have tested hard drive sizes up to 8TB with this DVR and they worked fine. We found that larger hard drives such as 12TB generated too much heat and could have reliability problems. We'd recommend choosing a surveillance-grade drive from a reputable brand. -SD, Swann Team

Q: QuestionEarlier response to cable type says this system uses CAT3 cable (POE?), however the picture of what is in the box shows coax/BNC connectors with separate power connectors. What is the connection between the monitor system and the cameras?

• A:Answer Hello Peter. The system does not require internet to operate. It can be operated locally without any internet connection you just need a monitor for the initial set up. Once set up is complete, the cameras will record locally to the DVR even if there is no internet connection. You only need an internet connection if you’d like to view the system on a smartphone app or to update its firmware. Hope this helps. LV - Swann Team
