• A:Answer Camera needs to connect to a dvr using bnc wire. It does not need WiFi to work. WiFi is needed only if you want to view or playback remotely from a smart device.

The DVR will need to be connected to your network using the ethernet port on the back of the unit. You will then be able to remotely access your unit using the Swann Security application. • A:Answer Technically, you do not need a DVR for any cctv camera if you are just using it for live feed. You can run the DNC candle directly into a compatible monitor or tv. If you are wanting to record, however, you will need a DVR.
