A:AnswerHi Rick. It would depend on which system you're upgrading from. If your current DVR is 1080p or higher then it should be OK, but if it's a lower resolution than 1080p we'd recommend replacing the cables as 4K is a high resolution and needs quality cables to ensure optimal performance. -SD, Swann Team
A:AnswerHello Build50. Our system's cables are security grade ethernet cables and are certified to work with our cameras however they are not Cat5e. LV - Swann Team
A:AnswerHi Rick. No, the cameras in this particular kit do not include microphones. We do sell a DVR camera with a microphone under model code PRO-4KMQB if you’re interested in that one. -SD, Swann Team
A:AnswerIt could be the electrical box they are plugged into. I upgraded mine to protect them from power outage. If I move my entertainment cabinet too close to wires one camera gets fuzzy. Give wires room.
A:AnswerHi Jadedfalcon. DVD discs only have limited storage capacity so this would not be a viable backup method. You can certainly backup clips from the DVR's hard drive to a USB thumb drive or external hard drive however this would need to be a manual process that you action yourself rather than a something you can schedule automatically from the DVR. Occasionally we have customers who may purchase a second internal hard drive and then rotate it over with the included one as each fills up. Our 16 channel NVR cases are also big enough to house a 2nd hard drive if required.

A:AnswerHi Lenny,
Yes, it is possible to ask Hey Google and Alexa to show a live stream of Swann cameras on their compatible devices. The feature is not used all that often by Swann customers so we have not tested every Alexa device with every camera we sell, but we have definitely been able to obtain a live video stream through devices such as the Echo Show. Hope that helps. - LV, Swann Team
A:AnswerHello Sumlynn, thank your for reaching out with your question. Only someone with your log in information can access your cameras through the Swann Security App. Please note, WiFi or Internet connection is a must in order to access your system remotely. Hope that helps. - LV, Swann Team
