Questiondoes it have a lock？is battery removal for charge？

- Answer Hey there! The battery is built-in and therefore not detachable for charging separately from the bike frame. Because the battery is built in, there is no lock for it, however the storage compartment comes with a lock so you can safely store your belongings. There is also a steering lock so you can lock your handlebars in place.

QuestionBattery appears to have come fully charged as the green light on the charger comes on when I plug it in. However, the BOTTOM bar on the Display screen - when turned on - indicates 3 green bars with the bottom one being "RED". Why is that?

QuestionIt doesn't look like one could pedal the moped along without electric power. But the moped can only go 19.8 mph, so one can't safely take it out in the street on 30 - 40 mph roads. But since it can't be pedaled, is it legal on all bike paths?

- Answer Hey there! The MAXX does not have pedals therefore can not be used once the battery dies. Each state has different regulations for operating an e-moped, therefore we recommend that you contact your state DMV for more information on riding requirements.

- Answer Hi there! In Florida, the statewide law says that riders must be a minimum of 16 years of age, but a drivers license is not required. The MAXX is limited to operation in bike lanes and must follow road rules that pertain to bikes. Miami requires riders to be a minimum of 18 years of age, does not allow you to ride over 15mph in bike lanes and 7mph on sidewalks. For additional regulations, it is recommended you check with the DMV at your local jurisdiction for additional information or requirements.

QuestionOne of my major concerns is since the battery is not removable what happens at the end of the life cycle? or if the battery just dies early for whatever reason? This is keeping me from buying one in the fear of ending up with something that cant be used.

- Answer Hi there! The MAXX's battery life is expected to last up to 800 cycles. To extend the battery life, we recommend only charging it when the battery reaches 25% and charging it fully. Do not over-charge your battery and do disconnect when your MAXX is fully charged. At the end of the battery life, the battery would need to be replaced. We are partnering with SWFT-certified companies to help with this process in the near future!
