QuestionI drive a Dodge Charger 2010 SXT 4 door sedan. Does this product need to hardwire through my car battery? My car battery is in the truck not on the front will the wires reach all the way in the back? Or will it be hardwired through my fuse box?

- Answer This kit is designed to be attached to the vehicle fuse box, usually using fuse taps. One of the two power leads needs to be attached to an always on fuse/source and the other to a fuse/source that only has power when the ignition is on. This configuration is necessary if you wish to use the parking mode where it will record when an event is detected when the car is parked/ignition off. I don't have the instructions available right now, but I believe it can be set up without the parking mode option. Connecting to the battery would most likely require extending the wires and result in an always on camera. And, of course, if connecting directly to the battery, make sure you have adequate fusing just to be safe.

QuestionDoes this hardwire kit have an inline fuse for both the acc and constant power source? From the photos, it looks like it only has 1 fuse but when I look at similar cables on Amazon or Ebay, they have two fuses for each wire lead.

- Answer Hi Jae, You will only need 1 Hardwiring Kit and the Rear Cam is powered by the Front Cam.

- Answer They are the typical thin wires used in most small electronic’s. When I installed the kit in my car I chose to solder the wires rather then using connectors due to the small size of the wires.

- Answer I don't know BUT when I got it installed, it freed up my cigarette lighter and all the wiring is now hidden. The installer got power from the fuse box.

- Answer Just one hardwire. Your dual camera will come with the necessary connection to run power to both. But for the hardwire it’s 1. As if you were using the cugarette lighter.

- Answer Parking mode can be disabled via software function, or just power down camera at night. Camera will power on automatically when you start the car.
