A:AnswerOur powerline products do not create or utilize phone (RJ11) connections; they use Ethernet (RJ45) connections to expand your home network via wire.

A:AnswerWe generally advise against using powerline products in a GFI outlet due to the potential for the outlet to falsely detect the powerline signal as a fault and interrupt it.

A:AnswerTo establish a Powerline network connection, the adapters must be plugged directly into wall outlets that lead to the same main circuit (panel). As long as both locations lead to the same main panel (and not a separate or sub-panel), a connection may be possible. That being said, other factors will play a role in the quality of connection such as distance, noise/load on the wiring, age/quality of wiring, etc.

A:AnswerThis device gives you the ability to run Ethernet connections over your household power lines, not analog telephone. RCA use to make a device like what your describing for the older satelight tv systems.
A:AnswerNo Sir you CANNOT hook-up that way! Especially wirelessly! You cannot hook to a community router then expect your own personal, private network! Should you be allowed to provide networking through a community router you cannot run private avenues wirelessly secure, pretty much by instant of the OS in use and authorization of the Community your Data becomes a part of that network band (WIRELESS FIDELITY - WI/FI) and neither is it Secure nor PRIVATE, but well open to other users and temporary guests of an unsecure/inviting/community account post. There are also other Network Rules established to a wireless reception. Thus, these devices cannot at be used to provide Wi Fi or Network standards of any kind! SORRY! Diego L. A:AnswerYes, as long as both Powerline adapters are plugged directly into wall outlets, and your house and garage are on the same main circuit/panel. Please note that this kit does not have WiFi capabilities. If you would like WiFi, we suggest one of our Powerline WiFi kits instead, such as the TL-WPA4220 Kit.
