- Answer Yes. If you have Windows 10, on your Toolbar menu at the bottom of the screen, click on FIle Explorer Now On the left hand side of the menu, Right Click on your TB Drive, Go To New, then Folder, and you can name that folder. For Files, anything in that folder, right click and click on , rename.

- Answer Yes, you can. The connector uses a USB cable to be able to transfer the pictures. I recommend plugging this drive into your old computer. Then transfer the files over from the old computer to this drive. Then plug it over your new computer. Then transfer the files from this drive to your new computer.

- Answer This is an external hard drive, and it can be be connected to any computer of any make running any operating system. The drive is connected by a USB cable to the Macbook Air. When you open the “FINDER” it will be listed as a storage device. Select it and use it. If your computer says it needs to be formatted. Your Apple Disk Utility (enter Disk Utility in your Apple Search or go to finder and look (it lists all programs alphabetically) for Disk Utility. Open the program, and click on the external drive (it will be listed), then click on format to standard default setting (“journaled ...) and the drive will be formatted in less than a minute, and immediately usable to store anything you choose.

- Answer I do not recommend using any portable hard-drive that is not made/programmed specifically for MACs. They say you can reformat it, but I have not found it easy to do, and I could not get it to work. Save yourself the aggravation, buy one made for MACs.

QuestionMy drive is working fine for the most part on Windows 7 - however, the scheduled backups using the included WD software always says last backup "missed" when I check. Its set for 12 am. I can run it manually with no problem. Has anyone had this issue?

- Answer I find the backup software that comes with most external hard drives isn't that great. At download.com (owned by CNet / CBS) you can find an open source program called Cobian Backup, which is free and does a much better job and is more configurable that the Western Digital backup software.

- Answer Yes it works with windows 10. to do a back up, first make sure you have it plug in to a usb port. Than open your file explorer, click on this PC then click on windows , there you will see all your files. High the ones you want copy them, then go to your external hard drive open it up right click on it then hit past. Before you back up any files or folders you have to format your external hard drive. Hope this helps good luck.
