- Answer Absolutely! The PS4 supports USB 3.0 external hard drives for use as Extended Storage. However, it must be connected directly to the system and you must use the Playstation to format the drive before use.

- Answer No. You will have to use iTunes or some other application on a PC to back it up. Even if the drive were network-enabled I’m not aware of any backup program that runs solely on the iPhone other than the iCloud backup.

- Answer My guess would be that your Windows XP machine is not in the NTFS file system format. Here's what I would do - check the format your XP machine is in. Look up on the internet what the capacity of that format is - ie., can it read 4TB? And, also confirm that you can reformat the drive to your XP machine's format. However, reformatting will erase all the files on it, which are backup program related. You would want to save those should you want to go back to the factory setup, unless they are downloaded from the company's website.

QuestionI have a chromebook and regular PC laptop, can I use it for both interchangeably? Do I have to format it a certain way? The box has a mac label on the front so I don't know if I have to format it to begin since I don't have a mac.

- Answer You have to format the drive in exFAT format if you want to write in the drive from Mac and Windows. You can use it interchangeably if it is exFAT. You can format in the Windows laptop or in Macbook.

QuestionAm I able to connect a SATA cable to it? I know it does not come with it but I find it more usefull than the usb which is why its alot cheaper then the 119 one I think.

- Answer Only if you void the warranty and remove the drive from the enclosure. Personally the USB 3 connection works fine on PC and Macintosh laptops and PC desktops. For best results connect it to a USB 3 port on the computer - a USB 2 port will be very slow for data transfers.

QuestionI presently have a Seagate 2tb which is outdated. ( does not support windows 10), how easy will it be to transfer my pictures and data to this WD.

- Answer Transferring is simple, e.g., I using File Explorer. Keep in mind, if you have an old machine with only 2.0 USB ports, moving a ton of files will be slow, but not too bad. Not too sure why your Seagate doesn't work, perhaps it needs to be reformatted to NTFS, if so you'll need to offload your files ahead of time as reformatting will delete everything.

- Answer no and no thats reserved for desktop hdd and up, not portables at 5400rpm...

- Answer You should be able to if you format it correctly when you first get it. I have all Mac/Apple products at home and work uses all PCs. I save and work on projects from both with no issues. Just Google formatting an external drive for Mac and PC.

- Answer Yes. I have one for my Windows 10 PC and it works fine. Only one issue, anyway for my system, the drive must not be attached when rebooting. When attached, it stops my pc cold and never allows it to get to the BIOS startup. Once it reboots, I plug it in and it works fine!
