You can store any data to the drive but you could not play the games directly from this drive. QuestionOur group works with cloud storage as our primary because of remote locations we are at. If I want to use WD as a regular daily backup for files from the cloud, can it be setup that way? I hope yes but better ask.

QuestionNot working still and tried 3 computers and this new computer I bought this month. How can I get this fixed using the 3 year warranty it came with?

- Answer If your able to read it. It does come with an install program if your drivers do not work well with it! I have an older computer an was able to read it, but could not write to it. Once the install program updated the drivers for it, it work just fine!

- Answer No need to download driver. As you said drag and drop, not much easier than that. Not sure about use on Windows 7, it worked on my computer that was Windows 10.

- Answer Yes, you can use this 5 TB external hard drive without Wi-Fi. As a reminder...your Laptop, and or Desktop computer is what uses Wi-Fi, not the external hard drive. On my Desktop computer I always disable the Wi-Fi. A Laptop computer, now days, from what I've seen, there's no ethernet port on them, so you have to use Wi-Fi on a Laptop computer. I use the 4 TB and 5 TB external drives with my Windows 7 and my Windows 10 operating systems.

- Answer The 4 Tb and 5 Tb external hard drives are fine for backing up for a Laptop computer, and or Desktop computer. One thing to keep in mind, if you like or want more than one partition, make sure that your O. S. backup partition is bigger than the other partition or partitions. Your O. S. backup partition has to be the biggest partition by default.

QuestionI currently have all my photos stored in separate file folders on my computer. When I back up to the WD Passport, will it organize them and store them using the same file folder names? Or is there something else I need to do first to make it happen?
