- Answer Your PC not letting you open any programs isn't necessarily a virus. Have you tried, right-clicking and choosing "Run as Administrator?" If you do have a virus, this program could help. I would first recommend booting your PC into "Safe Mode." See if you can open your programs that way. If that still doesn't work, I would then recommend performing a system restore on your PC. If you don't know how to do these, please Google it. It's very simple and instructions depend on your OS version. There are YouTube videos which show how this is done too. But, I would ALWAYS recommend having some type of AV software on your PC. You can lookup details on the different types of AV software out there: av-test.org

QuestionMy 1 year subscription is ending. I want to renew it. Currently only CD-ROM option is available to buy. Is it okay if I buy CD-ROM and use the key for renewing my subscription? WIll this work? I am using 12" macbook so does not have CD-Drive.

- Answer RSander6789; Sorry, it doesn't. It has everything else, but not that feature. It does an excellent job against identity theft and viruses. Great product, otherwise. You should write to Webroot and ask them to include that in a future release. Best of luck.

- Answer Vince; You can always go to https://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/geeksquad-dl to get the newest program, enter in the LICENSE NUMBER from the purchase box, and you are in business. You don't need a CD to install Webroot. I don't see any issues with using this on your Mac. It is supported. Best of luck.

QuestionWhy is Webroot only showing only 2 of my 3 computers that are being protected. And the computer not shown is indicating that renewal is needed. I renewed my subscription in February or March. Does that renewal only cover one Computer?

- Answer do all the computers run the same software? If not then you may have to run it again on the computer that your having problems install it on.

QuestionMy husband renewed his webroot subscription for another year and it is good for 3 devices. Unfortunately he downloaded it on his computer and did not download to my computer.. How can I download it to mine? I don't have a keycode.

- Answer Shelly; Sorry no one has took a stab at this question for awhile. Go to https://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/geeksquad-dl to download the latest version. Download this to your machine, put in the license code that you have, and you should be good. Webroot requires separate downloads to each station to work properly. Best of luck.

- Answer Apollo; No, some people believe that having TWO antivirus programs give TWICE the protection. False. They will both fight against each other and cause your machine to slow down. Best bet is to remove McAfee, install Webroot, and get back to real computing. McAfee is not a great program anymore. Their successful run is done. I find that Webroot protects without clogging up your system. It really is that good. Best of luck.

- Answer VB; No matter when you purchase Webroot, it will automatically update itself to the 2016 or 2017 or 2018 version. It's done it since day one for me. Buy whatever one you want; you will still get an update to today's latest and greatest version of Webroot. Best of luck.

QuestionPriceLast week a message appeared on my computer indicating it was in danger. The 800 number took me to a company that sold me Webroot over the phone. I paid quite a bit of money to buy it for three years and, also, have a monthly charge. Would buying Webroot at retail have saved this vast amount of money? If any additional information is needed, please let me know. Thank you.

- Answer I've had webroot for 6 years. I bought the first year from Best Buy. After you can automatically have it renew each year. I bought a 3 year renewal subscription at a reduced yearly price. I have NEVER been charged a monthly fee. I'm suspicious of what you actually have. I would never buy something that popped up on my computer. It may not be trustworthy. Good luck.

- Answer If you have an active subscription (meaning you are within the term of the subscription), then you have the latest coverage. Release Date is most likely just relevant to when the package was first made. If you don't have an active subscription, then you are at risk. You can either renew at Best Buy or pick up a new copy in a Best Buy store or on-line at bestbuy.com.
