A:AnswerThe first question I would have in mind is: Do you have the support ring with the three little rollers under the glass plate? I h
ope your installer didn't thow that away with the box. The turntable will not work correctly (at all) without it.
A:AnswerThis microwave gives you the option to either vent from the bottom front vents or from the top. The top vents are sealed if bought new and you would have to pop open the metal panel to vent from top. The default option is to vent from the front bottom.
A:AnswerYes, the Microwave does have the option to vent outside, or indoors, if you choose. I did find that the exhaust fan is so powerful, it still produces some airflow to the inside, even though it blasts air to the exhaust pipe.
A:AnswerYes you can install with or without vent. The charcoal filter and 400cfm fan will just recirc the air and remove smells if not using the exhaust vent. That's how I am using it.
A:AnswerMy recommendation is give it back if you still have time. We bought ours a few weeks ago and when you turn it on it sounds like you turned on a lawn motor. Bestbuy won’t take it back as it’s over 15 days and whirlpool send 2 guys over who couldn’t remove it from under the cabinet and couldn’t fix it. They said we had to remove it for them then they would take it to their shop. Just what we need a 3 week old microwave filled with reconditioned parts. Bestbuy did nothing for us. Their a disgrace and we are never buying anything from them again. They don’t stand behind defective products.
A:AnswerHi Vic.
The required distance depends on what type of cooking surface is on the range as well as building codes. The link below is from the GE website for appliance clearances and states that if it is installed over an electric, induction or gas range, the distance between the top of the range and the bottom of the microwave/hood should be between 13" - 16". The unit can NOT be installed over any cooking surface with a combined burner output above 60,000 BTUs.
Hope this helps.

A:AnswerHello OnTheFence, the Halogen lamp for the WML55011HW is a 25 Watt lamp. https://www.whirlpoolparts.com/Shop-For-Parts/b5i622d2170939/Model-WML55011HW1-Whirlpool-Halogen-Lamp-Parts Hope this helps!
A:AnswerAfter installation, we had to have the fuse and the lightbulb replaced. When I installed the new lightbulb. I was disappointed that it wasn't as bright as the first time I turned the light on. Perhaps I had a 40 watt bulb, but they replaced it with a 25 watt bulb. Not sure. Would be interested in knowing this.
A:AnswerYeah the fans are very strong. Have two big charcoal filters on the bottom very simple to change. I have no issue with the recirculation on it. I have electric though no gas. The fans have different speeds on them. Works great.
A:AnswerThe unit does come with a power cord, but it is probably about 24-36 inches.
You may need an extension cord. Double Check the specs on the Best Buy link.

A:AnswerIn response to changing the halogen for a LED. Whirlpool says you can not use a LED bulb where they built for a halogen. I wish I could. That would be a quick easy fix.
A:AnswerIt is too loud on the first setting and would be unable to talk over the sound if nearby but the lowest setting is pretty quiet which is just right for 90% of my cooking
A:AnswerI have not seen water inside the microwave, but we also have a wall vent. It was very cold the day I installed the microwave, and I saw a lot of water condensate inside the wall vent from warm moist inside air contacting the cold metal of the wall vent duct. You may have something similar happening. Is the outside vent sealing properly when not in use?
A:AnswerI had Geek Squad come back to fix that. The vent panels on top have to be installed a certain way - its illustrated in the installation manual. Also, one of those vent panels have to be replaced with a solid panel. There will be some air blowing out of the top panels, but not much.
