Q: QuestionIs it compatible with Kwikset entry locks??
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer This lock has a Yale core, but please read this- I bought two of these and both died within 3 months. I can now only lock/unlock them using the physical keys. Please don't even consider this lock, there are serious quality issues at Yale since they were bought out by Master Lock.

Q: QuestionWhat door thickness does this lock work on?
Asked by Mterry.
- A:Answer I installed it on a 1 1/4" door. But honestly I would not ever consider this lock again. I bought two, and both died on me the same way at different points in their short lives. I had them for under 3 months before both were only usable by the physical key. Trying to get my money back from Yale instead of the warranty replacement.

Q: QuestionIs this product compatible with both Apple and Android phones?
Asked by Ruby.
- A:Answer Yes and No to Apple. It connects to your HomeKit, but after a few hours it is no longer available on the app. On top of that, the two of these locks that I bought have died completely. Only way to use them is with the physical key. Warranty replacement is a joke and now that the second lock died the same way as the first, I'm trying to get my money back instead of a replacement lock. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. This is not a good lock system.

Q: QuestionCan the key that comes with this lock be rekeyed to my current house key?
Asked by Key.
- A:Answer Yes, the core can be removed, but you should rekey the core that comes with the lock because it has a special fit that makes the keyway flush with the face of the lock. BUT!!! I would NOT buy this lock if I were you. I bought two of them, and within three months both locks were only usable by the physical key. The electronics died on both. I had one installed at my mother's apartment, and the other on mine. I'm in the middle of a warranty replacement with one, when the other died when I was about to inquire when they'd send me a replacement. Now I've asked them for a full refund instead because I no longer want this on my doors. Good Luck and hopefully you won't consider this product, as it is really poorly manufactured.

Q: QuestionCan you create one-time codes (i.e., codes that immediately and automatically expire after being used)? If not, can you delete a code remotely (so that I can delete a code after I know it's been used)?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer you absolutely can, example letting maintenance in while you are at work. You can assign the code onsite or remotely from anywhere in the world via with access to wifi or internet service. You can also remove it or deactivate it. If I have guest staying at my house, I give them their own codes and delete them after they leave

Q: QuestionWill I get an alert on the app when the battery life is getting low?
Asked by LockNovice.
- A:Answer Yes, you get an alert on the app, and you’ll also get an email notification sent to the email you provided for your Yale account. Also, anyone else that was added to the account/home as an owner will also get a Yale app and email notification. When your batteries are low you will receive a daily alert/notification that tell you the batteries in your device are low and that you need to change them soon.

Q: Questioncan i set this lock to unlock say at 8am so everyone can get in door, during daylight hours, and then to lock at say 8pm so that the only way to get in is with a key?
Asked by claimer.
- A:Answer I was able to do schedules like this with Apple HomeKit, but your mileage may vary. That said, I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCK! I bought two and both died on me at different times. I'm currently waiting on the warranty replacement for one, but have written them asking instead for a full refund because the quality of these products is so poor.

Q: QuestionCan the lock be rekeyed?
Asked by Rob.
- A:Answer Yes, but if you do buy this lock, you should rekey the core that comes with it because its face fits flush to the surrounding body of the lock.. That said, I would NOT buy this lock. I bought two and within three months, both died for the same reason. I was just changing the batteries and the locks would no longer respond. I have been going through a warranty replacement for one, and just today the second failed. I now want a full refund and never want to see these locks again.
