QuestionCAN I HOOK UP FRONT LEFT,RIGHT AND CENTER WIRED SPEAKERS TO UNIT AND TWO REAR BLUETOOTH LEFT AND RIGHT SPEAKERS??? ANY SUGESSTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. ALSO IS THIS UNIT BETTER THAN THE SONY STRDN1080 AV receiver. New to this any help would be great.

- Answer It’s my understanding that she can do this using either Bluetooth connection to wire speakers purchased separately or using the music cast system. As far as sound quality goes this is a personal taste I believe the Yamaha is better as I believe it has superior DACs but I’m not sure. Generally the higher end sound shops will carry Yamaha or Marantz.

QuestionI need to connect 3 set of bose outdoor speakers to it. And 2 set of indoor speakers. So can this amplifier connect to 5 sets? Also I need the zoning in it so I I can play different speakers at one point.

- Answer No, there is no microphone input. There is a YPAO mic jack on the front panel (under the cover) but this is solely for the self calibration microphone to enhance the placement and levels of speakers.

- Answer It will drive 4 ohm speakers on the front channels, but only 8 ohm on the other channels. There is a setting to configure the fronts at 6 ohms. Set that at 6, (page 19 owner's manual) it will handle 4 ohms too. I'm using 4 ohm Cantons on the front of mine.

QuestionQuestion about Bluetooth listening....I would like a setup where my wife can hear sound at a lower volume through speakers while going to sleep while I can listen to television louder through a Bluetooth pair of headphones...is this possible? Thanks.

- Answer I've answered my own question....I purchased the receiver, and it does indeed work as I wished. Turn on the bluetooth within the receiver's menu system, pair with the headphones, and they are independent from the output to the speakers. The volume on the headphones can then be used to set the volume to the headphones. Only problem is that this needs to be done each time you listen via bluetooth. But it works

- Answer No. No tape outs and ins. It, of course has RCA audios in that you can assign as "Tape". For the out to the Tape to record you could use the front channels pre-outs for standard left and right. You just have to make sure the audio mode on the receiver is set to standard stereo and not music with surround sound (even if it's only emulating surround sound). It may still mess with the audio and split it to all the surround channels. Your "Fronts" left and right would not record correctly as you would be missing the center channel where the voice would be heard from.
