- Answer It can power 2 but with coaxial cables, it does not have banana pins for the old school subwoofer inputs

QuestionIs it possible to run both the zone 2 preout speakers (w/ external amp) at the same time as the zone 2 speaker terminals? I.e. have 4 speakers run when zone 2 is selected on the receiver, and have the main zone produce 5.2 surround sound

QuestionI'm thinking of buying the RX-A2A to replace an older Yamaha RX-A750 that was 'terminated' by one heck of a lightning strike. Is this multi-zone ?

- Answer Yes - you're able to dedicate 2 channels to a second zone. Note, there is only one HDMI output, but the audio can either be synced in both zones or set independently.

QuestionCan this receiver pass the HDMI through bypassing the speaker system to use the TV's speaker? Or do you have to turn the volume all the way down? I guess I assume that in standby it "wakes up" and directs the amplifier to power the 5.1 speaker systems.

QuestionI just bought this unit a couple days ago. Finally opened up the box to hook up. I go to plug in the unit to an outlet takes a a minute to power on. I thought that was weird, as I’m setting up MusicCast it powered off. What’s problem?

- Answer universal control of equipment from other manufactures with the receiver remote is hit or miss. your best option would be to get a good universal remote for complete system control
