Q: Questiondoes this receiver have an input for standard 75 ohm cable from a traditional cable provider, e.g. Comcast et al?

• A:Answer Comcast used to provide FM radio on the cable trunkline. There is a 75ohm input on the back for FM Radio only. The unit does come with a wire to attach and stick the top end to the wall with a tack. If you have a cable at the stereo and a small hub or even the main receiver or cable modem. You can use a 2-way splitter. The wire or Cable hookup may be acceptable for apartments I would recommend running a separate RG-6 cable to an attic space. Leave 6-8 feet to run across the top rafters. Strip off the outer shield and wire braid. Don't leave any extra braid or shield to short out the center wire. Wire can be taped, zip tied or stapled across the rafters. NOTE: ANY local VHF antenna input will receive FM very well. UHF antennas will have diminished reception due to frequency bandwidth reception. ALSO: AM reception is on a closed loop wire, NOT coaxial cable. It is considered to be 300 ohm wire. Receiver comes with the antenna. It can be placed in an attic space as well and splice in inexpensive speaker wire run between RCVR and attic. Just hook the loop or screw base to a rafter.

• A:Answer Yes it will indeed. 8K is the new buzzword marketing term for something that's hardly ever seen (no 8K content here). There's also issues with the 2.1 ports not offering a high enough bandwidth to support it. No word on fixes or replacements either. A trickle of brand new receivers are coming out now, but I'm waiting until all of these issues are settled.

• A:Answer Yes it will. You can adjust impedence (it should be on 8 ohms by default.) in the menu which will show up on your TV as long as you have it connected through hdmi arc. You will have no problem.

Q: QuestionDoes it matter if you plug your HDMI connections (Cable-BluRay-ROKU) directly into the Receiver or should they be plugged directly into the Display\TV when using an eARC connection? Does that effect the uncompressed audio?

• A:Answer Yes. Ideally, run all of your media devices through the receiver. While the most recent iteration of eARC will support most digital formats and drive 5.1 surround with no problem, you will not be able to play high bitrate formats like DTS:X or Dolby Atmos. Additionally, many TVs (especially ones a couple years old or more) downgrade the audio signal being sent through eARC. All of these problems are solved by running all of your devices through the receiver and letting the receiver function as a tuner. This is really what it is designed to do and it does it well. Save eARC for if you stream content from built-in software in the TV and therefore cannot run that signal through the receiver (like a RokuTV or similar).
