Love this monitor. It's nice and big and clear so things are easy to see. What I like most is when you play certain games that support AMD Freesync a popup comes on to remind you that you can make adjustments to the frame rate and you can see what the frame rate is at the time your playing.

    Beware- Dead on arrival!

Dead on arrival!! This is on Acer not really Bestbuy (unless Bestbuy scammed me with a used item) since someone obviously didn't test or inspect this product! All of the buttons including the power button are broken and sunken/pressed into the back of the monitor and you can't even turn it on! The back has NO cracks or missing sections so the internal structure is obviously not assembled properly and nothing to do with shipping or being damaged from the outside, this happened from the manufacture process at Acer. Not a single one of the buttons work and couldn't test it at all. REALLY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED! I took a lot of time shopping for a monitor, purchased it and drove down to Bestbuy- took down my own monitor - unpacked this "new" monitor and assembled it, and now I have to spend more time packing this monitor, reassembling my old monitor, take another day to drive back to Bestbuy and return or exchange this monitor!! Probably will exchange unless I find a very similar priced one, but will NEVER buy from Acer again and I'm sure they will not do a single thing to make this right unfortuantly. *Buyer beware if purchasing this model/manufacture. Would love to have them do something besides a opps we are sorry etc, when this takes up a lot of your customers time and money, and trust. Again VERY FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED with this whole process/product!!!

    Smaller IS better in gaming!!!!

My biggest question with going from big tv to small monitor was "How am I going to be able to see better? Bigger usually means seeing better right?". In gaming, that is not correct. This monitor changed everything. I'm not a streamer, I'm not a pro-gamer, but I love it so much and game almost every day. I see so much better on this monitor. I play on a PS5. There is a XBox Series S attached to it as well. My graphics are amazing!!! The Xbox user says the same thing. The refresh rate is SICK! If you love gaming as much as I love gaming, this is a worthy investment. It has a bunch of settings. It's easy to set up. I have NO issues what so ever. The people I play against do though! (grin!)

Great monitor with a decent refresh rate and no dead pixels from what I can see. Does get a little warm if gaming for a while, but other than that it’s a great monitor.

This is the second time I am writing this review. The first one didn't take for some reason. I already have a 27" 2k monitor with a 1ms gray-2-gray response time. Besides gaming a lot (World of Tanks, Call of Duty and H*ll Let Loose) I also do a lot of photography and graphic arts working with Illustrator, Gimp, Photoshop, etc. I wanted to see how an IPS monitor stacked up against my current monitor. THE GOOD ~ Easy set up ~ Bright ~ Great colors ~ Good for gaming (more below) ~ Easy switches on back of monitor to adjust ~ Plug and play ~ Adjustable stand (up, down, and tilt) ~ Comes with DVI & HDMI cables to immediately use ~ multiple presets for viewing (gaming, Action, graphics, etc) THE BAD ~ Speakers (go figure) THE MEH (Could go either way) ~ 1080p OVERALL This monitor was easy to unbox and set up. I had it up and running in a few minutes. The hardest part was crawling under my desk to hook it up to the back of my computer. At first the monitor was dim, but as soon as I changed the settings, it was great. In fact, it became a little too bright and after a couple hours of gaming, I had to turn it down a little. Since I normally run a 2k monitor, it took a little time readjusting to the larger desktop icons and other things (even some game play). Running through all three games mentioned above, I didn't have the slightest bit of lag, tearing or jitter. Everything was as smooth as it is normally. (I'll mention a minor difference later).* The speakers were as expected. Awful. I don't understand why manufacturers waste money and effort adding speakers to monitors these days as almost everyone has at least one set at home and probably another set or 2 lying around on the junk shelf in the computer room. LOL. Seriously, they were loud enough to hear. They were tinny, which made the tank tracks sound a bit more authentic, but other than that, I wouldn't want to rely on the speaker for any long-term gaming or use. Still, I guess they will work in a pinch if you accidentally spill mountain dew on your speakers while gaming. Once I ran this through the paces, I plugged my original monitor in and ran (still run) them side-by-side. The first thing I noticed is there is a very warm, red tint to my original monitor. This Acer has a very white white. It's like how that old shirt looks white until you put it next to the new one. LOL. It also has better blacks during YT and video playback. My original monitor gets a little banding. There was no banding on this one. The blacks are rich and dark. I also pulled up some images in photoshop and noticed the colors are much different on the Acer. I believe the Acer has much better color quality and is better calibrated than my usual monitor. * Running the two side by side, I did an experiment in World of Tanks. I went to the garage and spun a tank around as fast as possible. There is a little jitter that is not there with 2k resolution. However, it looks identical in both monitors when running 1080p. This is a great monitor for anyone who wants 1080p. The colors are vibrant, the response is fast enough for 1st person shooters and action games, and the size is great. I would definitely recommend it if my parents asked.
