It's pretty good, theres an overclock issue. I overclocked it and it felt kinda odd and it created some weird "pixel circle" turning off the overclock fixed it.

Great Monitor for Competitive Games

This monitor is great for high framerate competitive games. The motion is very fluid and with the overdrive set to normal I see no ghosting even when running the UFO test. The HDR setting is very nice to have when you are playing games that offer support. This monitor can get very bright! I know that 400 nits doesn't sound like a lot compared to some TVs but since you are so much closer to a monitor it can be blinding on max brightness. The stand has plenty of adjustment; it offers tilt, rotation to a portrait orientation, a lot of vertical travel and the base can also rotate. I also appreciate that it just pops into place without the use of screws. The only real caveat has to do with it's size, at 27 inches I feel this is the absolute limit for a 1080p screen. It is great for gaming and I don't really notice the pixels while watching videos but while using it for productive purposes the lower DPI is quite obvious and can be distracting. It's not really a negative but just a trade off you need to be aware of when selecting a 1080p monitor of this size for gaming. I also tested this with an Xbox One X and everything, including the Freesync worked as advertised. If used in conjunction with a set of external speakers this could serve as a both a monitor and gaming TV replacement in places where space is limited.

Acer did a great job with this monitor. The refresh rate is extremely good and the color gambit is amazing. Setup was easy. I tested the monitor on Ghostrunner and it performed as advertised, the HDR display gave a great view and I experienced zero screen flicker or lag. My only issue with the screen was that it isn’t wall mountable, but the slim profile of the stand leaves a small enough footprint.

I spend a lot of time on my computers. Besides doing general stuff like word and excel documents, I game a lot--mostly World of Tanks, but also some Call of Duty and H*ll Let Loose. I also do a lot with photos and designs, often using Illustrator, Photoshop, Gimp and other programs. I wanted to see how this compared to my current monitor (27", 2k, 1ms G2G) especially because this Acer is an IPS monitor which is supposed to be better designed to handle graphics.
THE GOOD
~Very easy setup
~ Quick response time
~ Good looking monitor with very little bezel (more about this later)
~ Comes with HDMI & Display Port cables so you can choose or use either
~ easy to use
~ adjustable stand with height and tilt
~ No dead or stuck pixels
THE BAD
~ Speakers
THE MEH (could go either way)
~ 1080p
~ Big
OVERALL
As I stated above, I already have a 27-inch monitor. It's a 2k monitor, so the resolution is set to 2560x1440. I'm used to seeing things a little smaller than they appear when the resolution is 1920x1080. What currently takes up about 1/4 of my desktop takes up over 1/3, almost 1/2 of it. It's a bit like going from small icons to extra large icons. For someone like my wife's aunt--who has eye issues--this would be perfect.
When I first plugged in the monitor, it was very dim. I had to dig into the settings and change the brightness some. I turned it up too much, because after a while it was a little too bright for comfort, but with the buttons and knob on the back of the right-hand side, it was an easy fix.
I ran through all the games mentioned above to see how the graphics looked. These are all very graphic intensive games, particularly during firefights and explosions. I didn't notice any tearing or lagging. Everything was crisp and clear.
Eventually, I hooked this up as a second monitor and ran some side-by-side tests. The first thing I noticed was that my original monitor has a heavy red tint to it that I had never noticed. It is very warm. The white on the Acer is noticeably whiter when the two sit beside each other. It's like that old white shirt looks white until you put it next to the new one. LOL. Also, while watching HD video on YT, the blacks are deeper on this monitor. My original monitor has a little banding this monitor has none.
I opened photoshop and slid an image back and forth across the two monitors. I was amazed at the color difference. Seeing them next to each other, I have no doubt this Acer is calibrated better.
Another test I did was in the garage in World of Tanks. I pulled up a tank and spun it around very quickly in my usual monitor then slid the game to the Acer and repeated the motion. I did this multiple times. When my original monitor is set to 1080p, the results are identical. They both appear a little rough, but not horribly. (It is smoother in 2k).
* While this monitor appears to have a very slim bezel--like 1/16th of an inch--it actually has more. You don't get use of the screen from edge to edge. There is about a 1/4-inch border around the monitor that is not used. I have the same on my original monitor. This is very common among monitors right now. So, if you get this and turn it on, don't be surprised.
The speakers are what one would expect from a monitor, awful. They are tinny. In one respect, it made the tank tracks sound more authentic. LOL. Seriously, though, I often wonder why manufacturers continue to put speakers in. Most motherboards come with built-in audio so no one needs a monitor with a speaker. I guess, though, if you ever blow out your speakers, you'll still have sound until you get a replacement pair.
Overall, I like this monitor. I wouldn't trade my 2k for this one, but if I bought this one first, I wouldn't be displeased the least in it. It's unfair to try to compare graphics from 1080p to 2k. It's a bit like comparing a videotape to a blu-ray dvd. The graphics on this are great.
If my family said they were considering this monitor and asked what I thought, I would recommend it for most of them. Most don't game or need anything better than 1080p. If you're a casual user, a gamer that prefers 1080p (many do), or just want to watch videos and stuff, you won't be disappointed with this monitor.

I first owned an Acer monitor that came with a package deal. This was when 60hz was the standard and I thought World of Warcraft looked amazing. Fast forward nearly ten years and technology has vastly improved along with each and every videos game’s demand for a larger and more powerful Graphics card and monitors with a much faster refresh rate.
The price point for a monitor is pretty high but for what it does, it’s actually great. I know, 1080p sounds like a dealbreaker but don’t let that fool you. I’ve got a lot of experience with video and photo, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro etc. resolution is only required when you’re blowing up the picture or video and need the detail, I.E billboards or those highways signs. So the fact that it peaks at 1080p and isn’t at least 1440p doesn’t bother me a bit when it’s response time and fluidity that I’m looking for and boy does this have it.
I first connected the Display Port cable to my computer and went into the 3D settings and found that it only allowed me to set the display to 240hz. I want 280hz. It’s simple to change to 280hz. Go into the menu of the actual display where the buttons are located in the back of the screen and select the appropriate subcategories.
I first tried a bit of Overwatch in which I tend to stick to hit-scan characters. Precision and response time for a hit-scan character is a huge bonus. Lining crosshairs with enemy characters with flick shot after flick shot required hand and eye coordination and a display that responds adequately. FPS 10/10. I then went into Final Fantasy, again, no issues, 10/10.
Another thing I noticed was the speakers when you connect the HDMI which I too tested out. In my opinion, speakers is not a feature a monitor should have. So I didn’t expect the best sound but if you don’t own speakers and would like to use them, they’re “ok.” I wouldn’t expect Bose sound quality from small speakers. Also, I game with specs that reduce the blue light so the setting that reduced blue light is cool to have but I need heavy eye strain control since I clock in about 6-10 hours of game time a day.
All in all If you’ve got the graphics card that can pump out the video processing power, this is the monitor for you. It’s very modest too. I usually like hanging my monitors but that wasn’t the case with this. Just make sure you have the desk space for it because it’s a behemoth.
I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone that takes gaming seriously.

I put this monitor through its paces and I was not disappointed. It was able to handle whatever I threw at it with ease.
This monitor is well built. One of my favorite features of the design was the thin bezels. It included a very cool stand but I opted to mount it to my existing vesa mount since it was compatible. It has two HDMI and one DisplayPort which accommodated a PS5, a gaming computer, and a streaming box.
The standout feature of this monitor was its frame rate. I tested out counter strike global offensive (where I was averaging a solid 144fps) and the 240hz refresh rate on this monitor made it look amazing. I also play games like knockout city, call of duty: warzone, spellbreak, and rocket league. The AMD freesync premium really assisted with preventing screen tears at such a high france rate.
The image of the screen was great; the contrast of the screen was great when you turned on HDR mode. You could really see the 400 nits of brightness.
It also worked great for productivity as well. I was easily able to fit two documents side by side while remaining legible.
Overall, this screen worked great for my needs. I would recommend this to a friend.
