I totally Loved this movie. I was watching it with a 3yrs old child, whom sat still and watched parts of it with me. That’s really a plus, because he’s pretty hyper.

Amazing and excellent product from Bestbuy. High quality, incredible high definition. This product have been 3D that time ago. I don't like that Bestbuy has been reduced little by little the Movies' lines at the store. Well I hope in the future Best Buy been there in our life. I love your Store.

I had my doubts going into seeing this movie due to loving the original cartoon version with Robin Williams. Once the movie started all those worries went away. Will Smith was great along with the rest of the cast. Its definitely a movie you should check out.

This was such a fun film. I really enjoyed the slightly different take on a childhood classic. Will Smith is certainly not Robin Williams, but still does a great job! The picture and audio quality were spot on!

Will Smith was born for this role. Even better than the earlier Disney version with Robin Williams. Both versions were fantastic.

Within a duration of about 2 hours, I was able to journey through my childhood days, and enjoy each and every bit of the ''Whole new world'' as well. Almost three decades have passed in between the old and new film, yet not a single emotion is absent in the new movie. It is as fresh and soothing as the old one. Hats off to @guyritchie, the director of the movie, for recreating most of my favorite scenes.

This movie has been on repeat in my house ever since it came out on video. I only wish I had a time machine so I could go back and watch it in theaters. I didn't do that because I have been so disappointed with all of the previous live-action remakes. As far as the previous live-action remakes go, the most enjoyable one had been Maleficient, but still I did not like it because it changed the story of Sleeping Beauty way too much. It completely made a mockery of Prince Philip's character who had been the hero in Sleeping Beauty. Cinderella was too different from the cartoon. Beauty and the Beast was decent but Emma Watson was miscast (she cannot sing) and so that bothered me and took me out of the film. All of that being said I had zero expectations going into Aladdin when I rented it out of boredom. It blew me away. Will Smith does not disappoint, he is hilarious. Hot zaddy Jafar plays Jafar so creepy and insecure that you almost forget how good-looking Marwan Kenzari is. Naomi Scott as Jasmine is a dream. She is picture perfect in every scene, with every turn of her head, she talks like a Disney Princess and her singing voice is superb. Mena Massoud was perfection through and through. He sang like the cartoon, and he was just as charming with his perfect smile and perfect dimple - he truly looks like he was created in a Disney lab and like he was born to play this role. I'm a forever fan of Mena Massoud now. The audience score for this movie is the true score. I don't understand the critics. I have read all of the reviews and a common theme with that bad reviews are that critics seem to be annoyed with Guy Ritchie and the fact that he was probably paid a great deal to make the movie, and the fact that Disney ended up making a ton of money on the movie. I don't understand what money and business have to do with one's ability to enjoy a fun fairytale. I watched the cartoon again straight away after seeing the live action remake. I didn't think it was possible, but I now like the remake anymore. Another common theme in bad reviews was that Will Smith is not Robin Williams. Well, this is not a critique of the film, rather, it is just a plain and simple fact, so I don't count that as an actual criticism. Another things bad reviewers say is that the CGI in the movie was bad. Well I'm sorry but I disagree. Yes the genie looks better as a cartoon, but the whole thing being make-believe will obviously work better in animation. We cannot have animation alongisde real people a la "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" nowadays because it would look cheap. And so they have to create a CGI genie. and a CGI magic carpet. And the thing is, it's one thing to criticize a CGI explosion because you can compare it to a real-life explosion and say it looks fake. But there is no such thing as a magic carpet and no such thing as a genie in a lamp, so I think that getting hung up on the CGI of it is just the wrong approach. If you are going to watch this movie, then allow yourself to fall for it a little bit. It's magic, so just accept it and enjoy. This is officially my new favorite movie and I hope Disney learns something and makes better remakes (I'm hoping Little Mermaid will be as good as Aladdin). Also hopeful for an Aladdin sequel.

I really like the new approach they have on this story and I have a few interesting ideas for the sequel if they make it which I hope they do, first bring back Jason Alexander to play his old voiced role again and have it be that genie Jafar gives Yaggo a voice but instead of "Gilbert Gottfried" make it "Jerry Seinfeld" instead, second instead of killing Jafar this time make it that the kids convince Alexander of what his character truly wants which is to not be the most insignificant thing there is and thus wish for Jafar to become something that while able to speak is as Alexander's character will put it "even more insignificant and less powerful than me, haaa", and finally to set up for the 3rd movie in which Aladdin meets his dad who on an odd note could be well played by "Adam Sandler" for reasons too long to explain here the end of movie 2 should be about how one of genie Smith's kids falls in love with Aladdin's kid which can be done throughout the whole movie and that the wedding that was in the 3rd could this time be for them, also if they want to give Smith's genie some of his powers back they could have it be that his kids find another lamp or maybe bottle and a genie grants them a wish that there Dad could have the power to save there Mom if she was in danger near the beginning of the movie or in a backstory later on

Pro Will Smith as the genie he was easily the best part of the movie although at times he tried to hard to be the Robin Williams version in the animated version. but still he was pretty fun. Naomi Scott As Princess Jasmine although I had only seen her in the Power Ranger reboot I thought she was great here and she has a great singing voice. Finally Mena Massoud the title character he was ok here there's a lot of singing here it's musical by the way all the old favorites from the original are here as well as an original song. Con while it's sort of small Guy Ritchie as the director his particular style of directing just doesn't work here. Even though I love the Sherlock Holmes films with Robert Downey Jr. and Jafar the villain i didn't think the actor was that great. but all that aside my mother and I both liked it.

I was very skeptical of this movie. My childhood is full of wonderful memories of the original Aladdin. I was convinced that there was no way Will Smith could compare to Robin Williams. And how could Disney give the director of Snatch and Sherlock Holmes the power to re-make one of their prized vault movies? But if you give it a chance, like I did, there is just enough new material here to get on board and enjoy Aladdin all over again. You will feel the nostalgia, and laugh along with the new Genie. Great job Will Smith! And this Best Buy 4K steelbook is the best version to have. It's a whole new world all over again. I will probably never say this again in my life, but thank you Guy Ritchie for a nice trip down memory lane.

I have my colección of all in VHS Tapes, then they started to make them in DVD's, so I started to buy them all. Now they are started to come out in the theaters with real people and "real animals? "well gues what?, I am getting them all. This one, ALADDIN, is one of my favorites, as well as "The Lion King". So far I have watch them all as they come out in the theaters, and of course getting them all in Bluray DVD sets. Thanks Best Buy for getting them for me. A Walt Disney Fanatic...

I wasn’t too keen on the LIVE rendition of Aladdin when I first saw it. Will Smith as a big blue genie was rather jarring. Then there was Jafar who looked nothing like Jafar. I took a leap of faith and bought on 4K anyway if simply for Princess Jasmine that is great eye candy. Well upon watching again, this movie is certainly good in its own merit. You just have to forget the cartoon and what you think the characters should look like. The 4K picture is crisp and the HDR makes the colors shine and pop. Gave it a second chance and I’m glad I did. Highly recommend!

A Lovely Treat for the Whole Family

Princess Jasmine is beautiful and feisty. Aladdin is handsome and earnest. The sets are sumptuous and just gorgeous. Special effects very well done. Scene stealers are the magic carpet, Abu the monkey and Jafar's parrot, Iagoo. Jafar the evil vizier was not quite as evil as I think he should have been. The genie - well, Will Smith (who is only blue when he comes out the lamp) did a great job. Not quite Robin Williams but he filled those gold pointy slippers. The story is formulaic of course and predictable but just beautifully done and it's a lovely treat for nostalgia fans and for kids who are new to the story. The script writers did a great job of setting the story, who tells it and how and why. Well done there. Only one fatal instance of "Are you okay?" I mean.... please! "Okay" in ancient Arabia? I would say 4.5 but only because Will Smith isn't Robin Williams.

Didn't see it in the theater... so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Will Smith a blue genie... ? I was pleasantly surprised at just how much I enjoyed it. Having a high-end 65" 3-D plasma... I'm still disappointed that the studios don't support us out here and throw in a 3-D version with the Blu-Ray/4K disc set. Can't tell you about the 4K disc (I'm just future-proofing my library), but the Blu-Ray seemed to be of reference quality. I have absolutely no negative thing to say... save for throw in a 3-D disc and make some of us happy.

I was hesitant about this movie. My expectations were fairly low. That being said I absolutely adored this version of one of my favorite Disney animated films. It made me smile ear to ear, laugh and feel completely nostalgic. The cast was amazing. The sing was so on point. And Will Smith's Genie was the most surprising of all. It was wonderful. It paid great homage to the late great Robin William's version without stepping on his toes. All the while making Genie his very own. I can't say enough. I loved this movie.

This movie exceeded my expectations on every level. They casted the characters vert good. I had doubts about Will Smith as the Genie, but he played the part superbly. The girl who played Jasmine did excellent and was absolutely beautiful as well. The steelbook itself features nice artwork (love how the text is debossed in the front). The disc has reference level audio & video that should be joy to watch on even a modest home theatre set up. Try and snag this if you still can! Highly recommended!!!

The picture quality played well on my BluRay player. The sound was excellent. Aladdin has a great storyline. Shows the obstacles that someone goes through while being poor. Also, like how it shows the importance of staying true to who you are and focuses on the importance of humility versus riches Great cast, and love the monkey. Great family film. It has humor, adventure, and some suspense. Would recommend it for families. Pros: Has code to download to devices Picture quality is great Great storyline
