With a little upgrade this system rocks. I added Corsair 32GB DDR5 memory, Samsung 1TB M.2 SSD. Now system is complete. Upgraded fro R11 this feels great. Since I enjoy Steam VR games this was a game changer going from RTX 2070 to RTX 3070. Mostly all games run in Ultra video quality except F1-22 in VR. So I decided to upgrade to RTX 3080 card had very slight notable difference. If you on edge between the two I would say save money and invest on memory & storage. Like to know where to purchase rear cover for wire management. Please share info if anyone knows.

The price was steep to say the least. Cooling was another issue. 3080 was ok and ran a little warm. Also you could build the same pc for less than 2k

That is not the type of feedback we like to hear from our customers. We have noted the details of your statement and will use them to improve current and future products. Below I have provided troubleshooting steps to assist you in resolving your overheating issue.
Here are the steps to troubleshoot your heating issue:
      1. Update the system BIOS.
      2. Configure Alienware Command Center.
      • Open Alienware Command Center
      • Set the Active System Theme - Thermal as Performance Mode
      3. When the system boots up, using the preinstalled software Dell SupportAssist run the stress test.
      • Dell SupportAssist > Hardware Checkup > CPU > CPU stress test
      4. Launch the Alienware Command Center, go to Fusion, and monitor the CPU frequency.
      • The CPU peak temperature should be less than or equal to (≤) 100 ℃
      • When under high stress, the system average temperature can be expected to be less than (≤) 100 ℃
      • Note: The CPU average temperature can be expected to reach 95 ℃ under cool mode for the Alienware m15, m17, and x17 systems
