Since this was my first pc, it was too daunting to build my own so I purchased a prebuilt. What I didn’t know was that key components in prebuilts, though you’d think for the price that they’ll be at least meeting the standard, was horrible. The desktop constantly rebooted, shuting down (downloading 1 game with a pc running an i7 AND a rtx 3080 which baffled me), and the constant updates from Alienware command center was a horrible experience trying pc gaming. Whether it was the layout of the components or the choice of subpar hardware, Alienware and I’d say any company that sells pre builds should be avoided. When gaming, oddly it was a different experience. Running a 4k 144hz monitor the desktop was able to run call of duty and other AAA games at a stable 90-110hz at 4k resolution! I believe it may be the cpu and the layout that is the issue since there were no shut downs or issues while playing on the pc. The problem is the time and issues just to play the games was downright frustrating. Maybe I got a bad unit so if you’re looking for a prebuilt pc I’d recommend researching more before buying one. This isnt to say Alienware is not good which many people told me. The performance is top notch and i believe my unit was just unlucky.
