The Alienware AW2725 QHD is sleek, compact, and provides great graphics. The visuals are crips and detailed, providing a great monitor for gaming and streaming. I appreciate the sleek and space-saving design, it beats out other monitors I have had in how much less cluttered the desk looks. What’s included? Along with the monitor is a power cable, DisplayPort cable, HDMI cable, and a USB A-B cable. Build This thin monitor can be adjusted by height, as well as tilt, pivot, and swivel. It has a hefty, stable base. The button underneath is placed straight in the middle, making easy to find and maneuver through the screen options. The screen is completely anti-glare, but this feature does make it hard to see colors properly at even a slight angle. Possibly good for privacy but not for sharing the screen with others sitting by you. This monitor includes a variety of video ports: 2HDMI, 1 DisplayPort 1.4, 2 different USB-A ports, and a USB-B upstream port. Screen The screen provides great QHD visuals with crisp and nicely saturated graphics. I do notice a negligible amount of fringe on text, not a dealbreaker when using it just for gaming, streaming, or artistic endeavors, but slightly annoying when using it for text-based purposes. The response time can be changed from 4ms, 2ms, and 1ms GTG. Alienware Control Center gives the option for easy changes to settings and toggling between preset settings. The response time has worked well for me playing first-person shooter, fast-paced games. It does vary and can stay at five though, even when 1ms is the chosen preset. The 180hz rapid refresh makes a huge difference in the smoothness and flow of the visuals. App The Alienware Control Center is quite handy in setting presets to quickly change out how you want the monitor to function. Each presets includes a variety of functions that can be customized and relives me of having to go through each one when switching from fast paced games to slower leisurely ones. Overall, I am quite enjoying this gaming monitor, as is my family, for a variety of reasons. We love the graphics, color, and fluidity of the screen. My daughter and I enjoy the sleek look of it because there appears to be less clutter on the desk, which is also used for purposes beyond PC usage. The amount and degree of tilt, pivot, and swivel is enjoyed by my youngest, whose small height has struggled to game with other monitors in the past. I wish text fringe was less evident, that the monitor remained viewable at angels, and that the monitor remained at 1ms GTG more often but have little complaint beyond that. Overall, this is a solid monitor for the price and a great addition to a multipurpose PC.

I’m not sure who’s the brains behind the operations. But I find it incredibly hard to believe that the training any employee goes through involves miss handling and poor product care. My Alienware monitor showed up in a box that looked like it was dragged through the streets that Paul Revere rode on. The monitor has a crack in the lower right hand corner. It seems to me like the product was tampered with, and the tape was replaced.

This monitor feels like it hits all the right notes - Price, clarity, frame rate, ports/cables and resolution are all very respectable in an entry-level gaming monitor. A monitor like this cost a lot more just a few years ago, and while it probably couldn’t compete directly with an OLED, it’s incredibly vibrant and presents colors accurately. Blacks even look better than others IPS monitors I’ve owned. __ Picture __ Like I mentioned above, the IPS panel here makes for great gaming. It’s plenty responsive at 4 ms (1 ms for grey to grey, but I don’t count that) - all while presenting colors accurately and with a vibrancy I usually only seen in OLEDs. It’s not quite the contrast you’d get in an OLED, but I find myself continually surprised by just how good it looks. Alienware has another new option that utilizes an VA panel, but I chose this to prevent the potential muddiness or ghosting that those can present. The panel here looks great from all angles, with a wide viewing angle and no real discernible color shift when looking off-axis. Blacks fall away a bit at extreme angles, but you'll be looking at this straight-on most of the time. Games looked great and I saw none of that ghosting or smearing of the image during quick movements. The 1440 resolution is no 4K, but it’s a good sweet spot density for a monitor at this size. Games look great - while other uses, like web browsing, still have good readability. And when it comes to size, some who are used to gaming on 24 inch monitors it may feel it’s larger than they like, but I find 27” the best size for most uses, including gaming. Since colors look so good through it’s DCI-P3 95% color coverage, it also seems like a great, affordable option for creative work as well. __ Design __ I wasn’t sure I’d think much of this design, but in person it looks fantastic. The rear cover and stand have a dark, subtle purple-blue tint to them that feels special. It’s both tasteful and understated, with logos that don’t stand out in person as the official product photos suggest (preferred). The front of the screen is a true black with an edge-to-edge design that reads as upscale and premium. In other words, it looks like a much more expensive monitor. Included in the box are both HDMI and DisplayPort cables, allowing you to select either for your connection. A small joystick on the lower edge of the screen allows for simple menu navigation. It’s worth noting that this monitor does not have any integrated speakers… but if you’re gaming, you’d want external ones anyway. __ Summary __ I was truly surprised by how good this monitor is. It’s vibrant, fast and well designed. I paid a lot more for a lesser monitor just a few years ago. It’s probably one of the best deals in monitors today. Quality and a very fair price.

    Great Mid-Range Monitor!

This is currently my favorite monitor I own! At 27 inches with QHD, an IPS display, HDR capabilities and 180hz refresh rate with Freesync/G-Sync, I find that both looking at and using it for anything, be it work, playing games, etc. is always a great experience! Simply put, its size, display colors, contrast, brightness, and refresh rate really make an awesome combination that is hard to beat in the midrange monitor category! There are certainly monitors with a faster response time than the 4ms this monitor has, as well as higher peak screen brightness, but I honestly can’t notice the 4ms response time causing any visual blur as a casual gamer, and find that, while I personally have never had an issue with the peak brightness, the anti-glare (matte) screen can help improve visibility in times where I would maybe wish the screen is brighter! The monitor’s design is also very nice and fits cleanly on my desk, with a futuristic yet still simple design, an effective build with a sturdy stand (with built in cable management feed-throughs) and a simple base, adjustable height and viewing angles, and ample ports (a variety of USB-A, HDMI and a DisplayPort). There are also many settings, personalizations and preset modes that can be made in the monitor’s settings menu for optimizing your viewing experience with the monitor, as well as features such as Dark Stabilizer to lighten the screen when dark images are shown (helpful in Minecraft caves) and Alienvision that allow you to put a few types of physical crosshairs (crosshairs, heatmaps and boxes) on your screen when gaming. Something that I will also note that I have found unpleasant during use is the auto-detection of alternate display sources can be overly sensitive and sometimes randomly interfere with my regular use if you have multiple input sources connected to the monitor at once, but manually setting a source can solve this issue!

this year alienware has fully redesigned the look of their monitor and the also has a different look. I’ve owned their previous 34” ultrawide oled 2 years ago and the back design of their 2025 is much different, not only that it also comes with this dark blue color tone that I think some would like but I dont think it will be pleasing everyone considering most people would probably prefer either a black or white body of the monitor DEVICE since this year its a whole new look, even the box that comes with is different from alienware previous lineup, its dark box with blue hue that blends with another color I think you call it cyan? i’m not sure maybe not the right color. but overall first impression of the box I thought it was clean. unboxing the product I notice how tye based on the monitor is also different its a rounded square and very easy to setup that zero tools is required to assemble. as mentioned the monitor plastic back is a dark blue or I guess navy blue. the alienware information screen that can be activated on the bottom is about similar to their previous settings from 2024. this monitor support freesync and gsync compatible, I suggest if you’re going to buy a new monitor it’s definitely something to keep it mind to see if it can fully take advantage of your GPU. monitor is 2560 x 1440 and 180hz. it support HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4, so taking advatge of current console out there is fully compatible. EXPERIENCE playing and using this game on PC I was able to max out its 180hz support. I was playing The Finals and the picture quality of this monitor for an IPS I thought I was satisfied great looking colors. running other games with HDR id say this hands down the best looking HDR ive tried from an IPS, maybe because it’s certified for HDR 400 , and I definitely give an approval from previous monitor experiences. picture quality I didnt have a problem did not look blurry, ive been using tons of 1440p screen and this monitor did not disappoint. CONCLUSION do you like alienware monitor or navy blue color monitor? well if you do alienware AW2725DM is the perfect monitor for your gaming setup. its slick performance was great no image quality issues at all with great colors. the price is currently $280 but you can catch this on sale for less than $50 last time I checked. 27” I think its the perfect size for gaming and competitive play, games ive tested with the monitor is Halo infinite, the new battlefield alpha. the finals. the ascent. all look great. thanks alienware this a great monitor so far!

This monitor displays a very nice picture, especially for its price. Despite being a less-expensive option, it appears to deliver a high-quality result. The 1440 line display has excellent color and is plenty bright. Even though the refresh rate, at 180hz, is a little slower than some other gaming monitors, the picture still looks excellent. The response speed is adjustable between 4 ms, 2 ms, and 1 ms—all of which are faster than the max refresh rate, which makes me wonder why it’s even adjustable—but regardless it performs well. The stand and monitor are molded out of a dark bluish plastic—kind of a weird but cool color. The stand looks basic but it is perfectly functional: smooth height adjustment, and it even rotates 180 degrees for vertical orientation either direction. My favorite part is the chromatic mirror alien logo on the back. The plastic has a generic feel to it but it still feels plenty durable. The bezel around the visible display is quite minimal, except where it’s a little thicker on the bottom. It would be nice if it had a detent to hold the monitor in the horizontal position, because it can take some finesse to get it perfectly level. On-screen controls let you adjust all kinds of things, including some settings I rarely see on a monitor (dark stabilizer?). I definitely prefer more options over less, but it includes some options I can’t imagine anyone using other than as a party trick (i.e. Alienvision). The settings definitely include features marketed to gamers who are serious about their hardware, but even then some may be more gimmick than actually useful. The packaging is mostly recyclable cardboard, which I love. The box included all the cables you’d need and then some: power, HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB. Speaking of USB: the only thing I’d prefer to see improved on this product is that the built-in USB hub only has ports for USB Type A. Don’t they know everyone is switching to USB C now? Even with Type A, I still found it useful to be able to plug in my wireless mouse dongle to get it extra close to my mouse for optimum reception.

    Great Entry Gaming Monitor

I picked this monitor up for a few reasons. My son is getting a little older now and getting more into programming. The extra pixel density and resolution (1440p) vs his 1080p monitor was the primary factor. The reason I opted for Alienware was because of their phenomenal customer support. So while this monitor may cost a little more than other monitors of similar spec, the peace of mind from knowing if there is a problem it will get handled is worth it. As for build quality I have no complaints with this monitor. Its similar my other Alienware monitor. Its a plastic design all around with minimal bezels and a nice joystrick controller in the middle of the screen for navigating the menus. It has a matte anti reflective coating on it that doesn't blur the image like other monitors. The Alienware logo on the back I believe is RGB but I never messed with it. It supports two HDMI 2.1 ports on the back and 1 Displayport 1.4 (given the refresh rate of the panel, the newer standard doesn't make sense). One nice benefit of this panel is that it has 2 USB ports on the underside which gives my son an additional USB port for his laptop which he was desperately needing. One of the ports also supports higher power charging though I'm not sure the wattage. I didn't get to test the 180hz of the panel as my sons laptop tops out at 144hz, but I really don't think he needs it. The image quality is a huge step up from his previous VA panel. This panel is IPS and has a good color range. It also supports HDR that is 'ok'. Being LED backlit / IPS, the panel is going to suffer from some sort of backlight bleed and fortunately this panel isn't that bad with it. This will vary from panel to panel, but I got fortunate with this one. In my picture you can barely tell, but its more apparent in a fully dark room. Overall, this is a very good monitor. I have no complaints with it and would buy another given the opportunity.

The first thing I look for on a monitor is the color. Considering this is an LED I wasn’t thinking it would be that great, but after using it for a bit its actually surprisingly good. The blacks look decent and the other colors do have a pop to it. They don’t look as washed out as I have seen on other monitors I’ve tried. The setup is pretty easy too, just take the stand out and pop it on the monitor and hand tighten a few screws. It slides up and down on the stand which is nice, so you can adjust the height however you want. The one thing that it doesn't have is speakers, which most of my other gaming monitors do have however they are so bad I never use them so its not really a bad thing ,but something to know if you do not have another speaker. There isn’t too much extra, just make sure when you connect it you set the refresh rate up as mine was lower. But everything kind of plug an plays, and I didn’t spend much time doing any adjustments and it worked good. You have the standard menus to change things and also change input, so its like any monitor you may have used. Overall, its a pretty good monitor for the price. If you spend more and get an OLED you’ll get better colors, but this one is actually very good from my usages.

Alienware is a brand synonymous with high-end gaming hardware. Normally, "high-end" comes with "high price," however Alienware as of late has been doing a great job of putting out solid products without making you break the bank. The Alienware - AW2725DM 27" is another example of Alienware making a really good product, at a solid price point. I love the base of this monitor being so easy to apply, and taking up such little space, I do wish it had a bit more height and adjustable height...but setup was quick and easy. In a world where monitors are starting to have bloat software, the AW27 keeps it light and easy in regards to options/software. I know some may like the whole "smart monitor" options out there, but this is probably a way in which Alienware finds a way to keep the price down. 1440p is still the sweet spot for gaming, and boy is the 1440p crisp on this monitor. With a 180hz refresh rate...the frames! This is a very solid starter monitor for those getting in to gaming. I do wish with the monitor not being an OLED that the brightness would be brighter. Normally the benefit of LED is the brightness, but again, this is probably another spot where Alienware keeps the price low. With that said, the colors still look great. Overall, this is a great monitor at a solid price point. Yeah, it's missing some of the big monitor checkmarks, but bang for your buck, this is a winner, I'd strongly recommend for those not looking to sell an arm for a monitor.

I’ve had this monitor for a bit now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my setup. The 180Hz refresh rate is buttery smooth—especially noticeable in fast-paced games like Warzone. I came from a 60Hz screen, and the difference is honestly night and day. No screen tearing, no ghosting. Just smooth, responsive gameplay. The QHD resolution hits a sweet spot for me—not too demanding on the GPU, but still super sharp. And the colors? Absolutely gorgeous. The HDR actually feels like real HDR (unlike some monitors that just slap the label on). Blacks are deep, highlights pop, and the contrast is solid for an IPS panel. Watching Netflix or playing story-heavy games looks amazing. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Alienware—sleek, premium, and sturdy. It’s got that futuristic vibe without being over the top. The stand is solid, super adjustable, and doesn’t take up a ridiculous amount of desk space. I’ve tested both HDMI and DisplayPort, no issues there. It also plays super nice with both FreeSync and G-Sync (I’m using an NVIDIA card, and it synced up perfectly). Honestly, if you’re debating between this and a slightly cheaper monitor, just go for this one. It’s the kind of screen that makes you want to sit down and play or edit or whatever. No regrets.

I’m very happy with this monitor. The display quality is extremely sharp and bright, and the colors look amazing. The 180Hz refresh rate makes everything smooth, especially for gaming and fast-moving videos. The size is perfect for my desk, and the design looks modern and premium. I also appreciate how easy it was to set up—just plug in and go. No issues so far, and it works exactly as advertised. Highly recommend it.
