Works okay but tons of features are not made available because this is the “cheaper” model. The app could easily allow more QOL features like allowing more than 3 temperature settings for the schedule, but chooses not to.

This controller has a mind of it’s own. Tried installing it twice. It starts ok than I can’t get it out of the heating mode even when showing cooling on.

After one month use, I am sharing my experience tgat this product is far better than other nesting thermostat I have used. I will suggest Amazon to expand its features that is a current limitation and looks best for the starters bt if u like to see more functions/features, may be you will find this as a beginner level smart thermostat and may need to find other.
Only issue I faced is with TotalTech installation where technician broke yellow wire and also didnt install a white plate. I have to pay extra $175 to get things fixed. But that is a separate thing with installation that I got with this product.
I suggest to call HVAC specialist for installation or diy only if u know this type of installations.

It has been the most awful experience trying to get any type of customer support from Amazon. Every time I’ve needed to call, it confuses everyone that I didn’t purchase it through Amazon and get transferred over and over. I’ve been hung up on several times I’m guessing because they don’t know what department to send me to. If you are able to get the correct department, they will help but the headache is definitely not worth it.

Bought 1 of these foe my house thatvinwas buying. By the time we moved in and were able to get them installed they didnt wven work. And it was 2 days pass thebretuen period. A waste of money(paying somwone to install as well) and time! Can't get any assistance inwoukd not recommend!

Easy to install, easy use, no effort to program....BUT its for only ONE user!!! If you have another person that needs access to control buy something else.

Install was easy but it was a headache just to get it to work Amazon support doesn’t know there own products so I was on the phone for nothing don’t recommend to any one

We had the Nest 3 Learning thermostat for years but that one had so many issues of its own, we decided to try something else. This Amazon junk was our something else and trust me, we have all the regrets. First, out of the box, this unit wouldnt follow any schedule we setup. It completely ignored it. When we reached out to Amazon Support, they told us we needed to reset the unit. We countered with it is literally brand new out of the box, how could it require a reset? They had no answer. Reset didnt help, so we disabled the schedule. We would set the desired temp, it would change it. As others have stated, its predictions were wrong even after us telling it was wrong. Amazon again had no answers. Comparing this to Nest, I don't get the nice usage reports that I actually read, because I like to know whats going on with my machine. Nest also told me what issues our unit faced (E74 check the water backup for clog) and when it happened, Amazon literally did nothing and the screen went blank so it was a guessing game. End result? We are boxing this junk back up for return and we currently have the Ecobee Premium on order to try.
