Customers are saying

Customers admire the Back-UPS Pro BX1000M-LM60 1KVA Tower UPS for its long battery life, ease of use, and reliable performance, frequently praising the clear display and compact size. However, some users found the closely spaced outlets inconvenient and noted that the price point might be a concern for some. A few also mentioned the unit's weight and audible alarm as potential drawbacks.

I have used this brand at work for years protecting my computer equipment so the choice was easy. I have an older one connected to my home computer and router. I connected my 65" OLED TV, Cable Box, and Yamaha AV Receiver to this unit for protection and the short power outage in my area. I get spike and surges so it is a good choice if y have the same situations. It provides power on surges and I don't have to wait3 minute for my cable box to restart and my preciouses TV and Yamaha Receiver are in good hands. Power is clean and you have display to let you know how long you have with the connected equipment.

Definitely a must living in Miami. Power outages are very common in my areas especially during hurricanes. Gotta keep one just incase. Lasts forever and easy to use.

Simple installation of both the unit and the software. I really like the software feedback. NOTE: LET THE UNIT CHARGE UP BEFORE PUTTING A STRAIN ON IT. The software told me I had a faulty battery at first, but after charging for 24-hours the software said it was okay.

It seems amazing that in this era, living in a first-world country, that you still have to worry about the power going out. We have these scattered around the house for various important electronics such as our network and computer gear, and they are huge time-savers when the power glitches. The specs say they work as surge protectors, too, which is nice if true but is more difficult to measure. With any luck, that feature will help our electronics last longer. I suppose some day we'll win the lottery and install a PowerWall, but until then these do the trick.

I bought this UPS because I bought a desktop and wanted to make sure I do not lose work if the power goes out also to protect it from the fluctuations. I have a 11th gen i7 , 3070 and 2 monitors playing Microsoft flight simulator the UPS shows around 60- 75% load on the UPS. I was concerned that I would hit the 600 watt limit on this one. But I have only hit 75% load at the max so I am happy Love the display and how it shows what is going on in real time.

If you have a desktop computer then you should consider having a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply), at least in my opinion. APC has been making UPS systems for years and are among the best. In my household we have APC UPS's protecting not only Apple products (Macs) and PC products, but a Synology brand NAS (Network Attached Storage Device). The APC products work equally well on all those platforms. In fact, both the Macs and the Synology were able to "auto detect" what kind of UPS they were attached to (when using the supplied USB cable to attach the APC to the computer) and selected the correct "driver" if needed. Totally easy and seamless to connect. You do need to connect the leads on the battery when you first get it, but after that just close it up and plug it into the wall. Shut down your computer properly so you can unplug it from the wall and plug it into one of the battery protected sockets on this unit. (You should plug in your monitor too). Plug the provided cable into the port on the back of this unit and a USB port on your computer. If you have a PC there is some slick software you can download that will allow you to really customize the settings for this device and can even monitor how much power your systems is using. On a Mac or the Synology system there are settings you can configure in the system preferences for UPS's. And that's it. Good to go. Safe from those rolling blackouts! These are one of the best ways to protect both your hardware and your data from accidental power spikes or blackouts that can damage them.

As usual for APC products the build quality is excellent. The battery was a little hard to get hooked up but not a show stopper. I like the display that gives the load information and the length of uptime in the event of a power outage. I've had an APC 300 KVA that's been working for at least seven years, still going strong.
