For a straightforward setups such as hooking the router up to a cable modem, this device works perfectly. For more complicated setups, it's actually better than other routers I have dealt with. However, the simplistic menu got in the way of more complicated setups. I tried using it a couple ways. First, I tried using it as a glorified airplay audio device in my car. My iPhone had troubles reliably hooking up to it. When it did hook up, it would drop out after a while. I think that was a menu issue. Second, I set it up as a wireless router for my parents who were going to get internet access for the first time. I did the simplistic setup to an Apple TV and my parents iPad. When the installer showed up, all he had to do was plug in the modem ethernet cable and everything worked like a champ.

Great little wifi router for the size. I left off a star because I had hoped for a bit more range, but the throughput is great. Range also isn't terrible. Easily covers my entire apartment, I was just hoping it would reach a little further outside to my parking space. Setup is crazy easy and since it's so small you can easily pack it up when you travel and use the hard wired ethernet cable in hotel rooms to set up your own wifi network instead of using the hotel's often slow and laggy wi fi.

I ordered this router to extend a network created by an Airport Extreme router. Setup was a breeze and it works as expected. The router gets 5 stars. What was't the best is the fact that it was Geeksquad refurbished. I've bought Apple refurbished before and it looked brand new. This one done by Geeksquad looked like it was run over by a truck. Dirty and scratched. But works fine so I kept it, the price was fair. For their refurbishment I'd give 3 stars. So average that and I rate it 4 stars.

Great product for extending the home wi-fi network, especially if you're already on an Airport-based network. Super simple setup and easy to learn the more advanced features.

I already have an Apple Extreme router near my computer. I wanted to extend my internet wirelessly to my entertainment center where I had a multitude of devices that need internet connection.
So I bought it hooked it up and I set it on client mode and voila it worked like a champ and am using its ethernet port connected to a switch so I can share the connection with many devices.
I bought it refurbished and it was as good as new.
Works like a champ! Not sure how it works well with other routers.
But if you have an Apple Extreme router already then this is probably the best extender you can buy!

I bought this to play music over airplay speakers in my living room and it works very well for that. Since it is wired to my router in the basement, it also allows me to create another wifi network on my main floor which improved my overall wifi signal on the second floor of my house. It is a refurb, but the price was right and there was no cosmetic damage. The original owners settings (SSID, etc) were still on it, so it obviously wasn't reset before it was sent out and I'm not sure how thoroughly it was tested. I did do a reset and set up through the Apple Airport utility on a Mac. It has worked well without any issues so far.

The Apple Airport Express is a great little device. It extends your wireless network, it can broadcast music wirelessly, and help turned your old printer into a wireless one.
Personally, I've used it extensively for music, and it works great. Just plug your receiver into the Airport Express with an AUX cable, and use AirPlay to play music on your stereo system wirelessly from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. It works really well!

I use the AirPort with my iPhone and an iQ PianoDisc app to send signal to player piano mechanism installed in a Petrof grand piano.
I need to reset the AirPort every so often. But, other than that, it works flawlessly.

I've been using the Express Base Station for many years. I needed another one to run music through my stereo in the living room. Based on the price and the consistency of the product, I'm very happy. I saved 50% in purchasing a refurbished.

This airport works great and is easy to set up. We connected it to a modem that was comcast compatible but not wireless to save the monthly fee and it was very easy to get the household all set up !

So I purchased this in order to extent my xfinity wireless modem. It was easy enough to set up but it didn't work. My connection was actually slower, both when I set it up as an extender or a standalone router. I also own an Apple Airport Extreme which, on the other hand, is amazing! I didn't try this product with my extreme, but I suspect that it would work much better with that router since Apple products get alone with each other so well.

Cheapest I've seen for an Apple router. It delivers performance and no external antenna required. Wireless printing was a chore to set up but not too painful. The AirPort App is nice to have versus logging in to the router for settings.

I bought this to extend the wifi coverage in my house. My house is 3200 sf and my uverse router has worked fine up until the last few months so I bought this and put it on the opposite side of the house as my uverse router. Signal was perfect and worked for everything except for high bandwidth apps like Netflix and HBOgo. This was the same problem I was having with my current router so I'm pretty sure the problem is with my service provider. I ended up returning it since it didn't fix my problem but it wasn't this product's fault.
