I was expecting a lot from this item but as it turned out, it was not performing well. Not sure if it's because it's an open box item but I've tried resetting it for more than 30 times and still failed to operate correctly

I love apple products. And I own everything apple. But the Best Buy refurb was not done properly or the airport air just was terrible. Couldn't get it to work and apple products are the easiest to use.

The product I ordered came quickly but came with no instructions on how to set it up.. It came with someone else's setup (user/password) and geek squad couldn't figure it out.

I bought it to extend the coverage of my network. It resulted in a common router. Too expensive for that.

Bought refurbirshed, doesn't work great. Suppose to get 50 down, range to bedroom already week. ASUS router is probably a better bet

I have this bridged to be Airport Extreme and the performance has been mixed at best. When it works well it extends my range of my wireless network and improves the speed in the far reaches of my home. But often it loses connection or slows to a crawl with no explanation and effects everyone on the network. Would be happy if it worked more reliably.

Money is better or spent on buying AirPort Extreme. Significant increase in speed.

Good product but you can’t use it as a WiFi extender

Love ALL things Apple! Bought the refurbished AirPort and attempted to set it up. Problem came when attempting to set it up to the network. It needed a password, but the password was not included with the refurbished system. I called Geek Squad but they could not find nor reset the password. It is not the Geek Squad's fault (from what I was told). Some systems come to them with the password while others do not. Either spend the extra money to purchase the new device or continue to return the device until you find one with a password. I ended up purchasing a different system all together.

I received the "refurbished" Airport Express within a reasonable amount of time. There were no instructions enclosed. It would not work wirelessly, after many attempts. Finally I hooked it up with an ethernet cable and it worked...BUT it already had a name and password, so I was not able to use it. Returned it to the store - they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience of wasting my entire evening, and having to make a trip to the store. This thing was NOT refurbished, they just threw it in a box and sold it to the next sucker to come along - ME.
