Being a legitimate Apple certified item means it’s going to work. Yes you can find cheaper versions of this online but this thing just works. And if it doesn’t you can exchange it for another at near Best Buy.

Purchased this product as a way to stream video from Amazon Prime and Netflix. Works well with no issues, and I love that you can also charge your phone while streaming. Pricing seemed high but it is an apple product and for how much we use it, it is definitely worth it. Make sure you have a good HDMI cable for better screen resolution when streaming.

I connected my iPhone X using this adapter to my 55inch 4K TV. I was able to play games on big screen, watch my photos/ videos, even movies from my Apps like Vudu/ Apple TV etc.,

Take it to work or for a presentation and bamb you can show everyone in the room what your trying to share from pics to excel presentations and PowerPoints to u-tubes. If you’re in the dark ages your geeks will bring you up to speed! If you don’t buy geek squad yearly plan your being penny wise and pound foolish. You won’t believe how they can change your lives. I used to think my x was so smart, but he always used the geeks. I guess he was smart after all!

Worked great. Just what I needed. No problems to report.

This worked perfectly, as described and expected. I plugged my phone into the lightning cable end, plugged in an HDMI cable connected to a smart TV, and the TV played a video from my phone. Super simple.

This is definitely an item you must buy the Apple brand. Knock offs do not work. Hence the insane prices charged. I had a $30 reward or I would not have been able to justify it. Not worth the huge price tag but it works as described.

Used with a mini HDMI - HDMI cord to a Pico Projector. Takes a few seconds to connect, but works fine. A bit pricey, but the knock-offs are not worth the hassle in my opinion.

This item comes in really handy if you don't have an Apple TV and need to mirror something on your iPhone or iPad. Especially trying to stream something on YouTube and trying to put it on the big screen tv!

I am using this to watch content from Apple TV on my television, using my iPhone. We opted for the Apple-branded adapter because the cheaper brands had reviews indicating that they did not work consistently or would block certain content. This adapter seems to do what it is intended to do. I have had issues with playback that I can't necessarily blame on the adapter. When streaming content, several times the stream stopped entirely, or the picture went blank and the audio continued. Stopping and restarting the playback resulted in a "There was and error loading the content" message until I unplugged the adapter and reconnected it. This problem could be anything, from my cable, a software bug, or who knows what. But the fact I have to unplug the adapter to fix it makes me suspect that it could have something to do with the adapter. Nonetheless, this adapter works most of the time.

I need a way to hook up my I-Pad to my TV via a HDMI cable to run a color adjustment app and it did the job very well. It worked flawlessly. If you want to display content from your new I-Pad to you hi-def TV this is what you want.
