Exceptional computer.

The speed and efficiency of this computer is amazing. Only a few glitches (probably user caused). I will eventually learn how to avoid the constant pop-up message boxes while I am writing and/or reading on the Internet. Also, the key pad cursor keeps jumping to another place in the text.

Very Nice Model

But it was time for a new laptop so decided to give a MacBook a try. Definitely some differences from Windows or Linux capabilities but overall it is very nice. Nice a lightweight yet good battery life and CPU power. If you are in the market for a Mac laptop, then I'd recommend.

Excellent computer, with caveats
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was extremely nervous with this purchase due to the keyboard issues and Apple's less than great history of GPU failures, but so far so good. I would have been happier if this had NVIDIA graphics, but that is a lost cause. It performs pretty well, but I really dislike that it cripples itself by not spinning up the fans enough to properly cool the device. With a third party fan app, I get the performance I want while the temps stay under 90C at full load. Everything else about this computer is great, and I hope that it lasts for 4+ years, that will be the real test.

The keyboard is different, I feel nice when typing. The larger touchpad is actually a benefit with greater mobility. The computer itself works really great. It is very easy to use and set up. I had it out of the box and set up with everything within about 15 minutes.

Great for photo editing

Transferring photos from her camera took forever, and her post-processing cut into our family time. We upgraded based on the newer, faster processor. Totally worth it. Her photos take less than half the time to transfer, and her post-processing time has gone down significantly.
