not sure why apple decided to increase the noice of key strokes. this new keyboard is distractingly too loud.

This was a very bad choice. Big mistake on my end. The laptop is not worth the money they ask for. They actually realized that late and cut down on the price of the item and when I called them for "price match" they denied to do that. What is worse than this item if the BestBuy customer service.

Works fine, my first MacBook, I've been using PC laptops for years. This one links up with my desktop better.

Get the newer model this older model has some battery and throttle problems

Monitor broke down after Apple warranty has expired.

It's an expensive Mac, not much to say. They still need a touchscreen.

I've had a Macbook Pro and a Mac Pro desktop, and the were my first Mac computers. I loved them both for about 8 year until I could no longer get IOS updates. I was never going to buy a regular computer again, so I had to get a new computer. This computer was great, then I started typing 2 letters when I only press 1. What's going on with the irritating double tap?? I spend more time going back to correct words than I do typing. It's frustrating and stupid. I expected more from Apple and I wish I wouldn’t have paid close to $3000 for this computer. Look at go back to a PC on my next purchase.

Battery was not as expected. Only lasted 2-3 hours.

I have been using apple for more than 17 years of filmmaking career every time I upgrade to a new computer it is extremely disappointing to find a computer almost as powerful as it 6 year predecessors. I believe I’ll switch to HP Z Workstations

I bought this item brand new sealed in box. In around three weeks of owning it, I had to take it to an Apple store so it could be repaired. (Unfortunately it had passed the measly 15 day return policy). The Display Assembly space had to be replaced. Also the latest Mac OS version was cleaned and installed. Thankfully Apple fixed the problems. But I just don’t understand why a brand new product had so much inner damage already. Never again will I or our family purchase an electronic from Best Buy again.

Im upgrading from a 2015 MacBook Pro and this model is such an improvement. Love the huge trackpad. Touchbar is not a gimmick-its easy to use and convenient. Display is phenomenal and speed is noticeable improvement. Migration assistant makes it so easy to transfer from one computer to another. So glad I got this computer!

Still in test state with using product -- finding table space to work with product -- I may need a more portable device.

This is a truly amazing laptop. I was overdue for an upgrade from my 2012 MacBook Pro and had been hedging my bets for a while. When I finally decided it was time, I lucked out and caught a good sale on this machine so I pulled the trigger. I couldnt be happier. I do a lot of audio production and YouTube video creation for my podcasts and this laptop smokes through all of it. I was shocked at how fast it chugs through audio and video rendering - especially because its a base model machine. I'm able to churn out 60-90 minute YouTube videos in 10-15 minutes where my 2012 machine would take almost an hour. The screen is gorgeous and spacious, the touchbar is very useful (despite the hate it gets), and the butterfly keyboard is much better than I'd heard. I would not hesitate to recommend this laptop to anyone - it's a solid machine that does it all and does it well. I could not be happier with it.

I wasted near $3000 dollars on this MACBOOK, and as soon as the return expiration passed, my KEYBOARD and MOUSE PAD started acting up. Some keys DONT WORK, and the mouse pad lags up. so I will be making several reviews and videos around the web so no one gets robbed like me.

Being a music recording hobbyist and getting a lot of musical mileage out of my old iPad 3, my wife talked me into trying out this new MacPro, which comes already installed with Garageband, which is my main reason for getting this laptop (in addition to the Apple/Mac laptop reputation of reliability). Due to the price, however, I strongly considered returning this the day after I brought it home. But after recording a couple of demo songs in Garageband, I'm beginning to realize what a quality machine I have here. The only major drawback is not having standard USB ports and having to buy a separate connector for that, which was like $90 more. But, I believe this is going to be keeper anyway. I'm becoming convinced that once you go Mac, you'll never go back :-)

Laptop flickering. Worked with Apple to try and resolve. Nothing they did worked. Only had it for 2 days before encountering this problem. Returned product

Hey guys so I dropped the 3,000$ (device+taxes+case+dongle) and first impressions are that this device is extremely beautiful. It looks very solid, a bit delicate but great. The every day task are good, and the performance is good for video editing. Buy it if you have the cash and you are willing to pay for the apple experience and the premium build quality. (PS: I was deciding to buy either the Samsung Notebook Pro 15 2018 version and the Surface book 2 15 inch [If you need windows or need a more affordable option look into these)
