I love it, its fast, works perfect with my recording gear. The only issue that I have is that it's short,i dont know if they have longer ones, and I have to keep my gear close. Other than being short, I would recommend if you are using a USB C thunderbolt 3 interface and a mac.

I didn't think I needed this adapter until I connected my Macbook Pro to my iMac (and then display). This cable is needed if you're going to transfer data & sound. It can also charge the Macbook if you have a monitor that has a built-in power supply thereby eliminating a bunch of wires on your desktop. I currently have my Macbook Pro connected to a 27" BenQ ( BenQ EW2780U).

I bought to replace my charging cable for my 2016 MacBook Pro and worked like a charm. It's shorter than the original cable that came with the laptop but feels more heavy duty.

This enabled me to route 32 channels of audio from my interface to my IMac. Previously I could run 24 channels so I love the upgrade. I recommend this product and I recommend that you purchase the real deal and not a cheap knockoff.

I've bought Thunderbolt 3 cables from multiple vendors, including Amazon, CalDigit, Belkin and Apple. Prices for true Thunderbolt Cables are about the same regardless of brand (you have to look for the "3"). The main reason why I ended up with Apple Cables is that they tend to physically hold their connection better than the other brands. The other cables, I tap on them and they sometimes disconnect; not with Apple. My only wish is that they came in Black.

I am very happy and pleased with the performance of the monitor being able to work with both types of laptops that when I consulted the Apple Specialist, asking what I need to buy to keep a spare cable around. They let me know it is this Thunderbolt 3 cable that works for this situation. As long as there is a lighting bolt not he cable, it is a Thunderbolt 3. When I got it in the mail, I plugged it in to test, and wola! Works! I now have a spare in case the original one gives out. Its perfect! The USBC outlet on the HP laptop is 2.0, not even meant to work for anything but standard charging. Yet, the Thunderbolt 3 cable was able to transfer the data and let my monitor work with the laptop.
