It never worked. I have a 2020 MacBook Pro and it didn’t fit in any of the four USB-C ports. When I put it in the port, it read,” USB Accessories Disabled. Unplug the accessory using too much power to re-enable USB devices.” I bought the product in June 2020, and didn’t have a need to use it until I started grad school in Jan 2021. Lol soooo can’t take it back, but am highly disappointed. I tried charging my laptop while plugging it into all four USB-C ports and still no luck. :( Don’t recommend..

My computer shows that the adapter is there, but the three ports will not work.

The adapter was unable to maintain a connection for more than 30 minutes and after a month couldn’t stay connected for 5 minutes. I wish I would’ve returned it immediately.

I ordered this adapter used, but the condition was described as "Open Box Excellent." Well, sadly, it is far from it. The adapter is covered in an array of scuffs on both sides and the cord has some weird color stains on it (see photos attached). It has clearly been in use for a while. Overall verdict: pretty disappointing.

Works great for my needs. Plugged it in and it worked instantly with no setup or headaches. Video and audio come through clean, and it feels solid like you would expect from Apple. This does what it advertises. What's nice is it gives you a USB C ( I don't know if it's thunderbolt) since it uses one up and on the base MacBook Pros and the Airs, those are kind of precious. 4K at 60Hz was a nice upgrade on the 4K TV I use as a monitor coming from a different brand's dongle that was only 30Hz. It's not cheap, but you'd need to pay quite a bit more for reputable dongle with 4K @ 60Hz with other ports or card readers. Only minor gripe: I wish they made them that matched my Space Gray MacBook Pro.

Currently using the device in an iMac Pro running Windows 10 in boot camp connected to hdmi to a TV in order to use Steam on the TV. A little pricey, but better than the cheap knock offs that have plagued others not working properly or causing damage to their computers and on Nintendo Switches. Also works without problems in Mac iOS. The charger should be used when outputting to hdmi.

Arrived on time. Works perfectly. Authentic Apple product so prices are standard. Free delivery from Best Buy! I chose to get a real Apple product because I didn't want compatibility problems and I was confident Best Buy would deliver genuine Apple product. I only gave it 4 stars for value because Apple products are expensive. Knockoffs are available on Amazon, but work inconsistently.

Easily connects my laptop to a computer monitor. Just what I needed. No issues!

For work when giving presentations, this is perfect to plug into the boardroom tv to display slides and also connect a clicker at the same time from my laptop.

very easy to use and it has three ports to make it very handy and useful. I would have one on hand just to make sure you could need it. It is a little pricey, but worth the cost.
