After seeing my modem fee double to $10 I'd had enough. Bought this modem and I notice one thing. I get a steady solid connection at 220-225 Mbps. Cable modem it would fluctuate all over the place. On phone with cable the activation took less than 5 minutes. Very happy with it.

The modem can be setup quickly and best if all no more monthly fees to Optimum

A good option for Cable with voice plans. Allows for 2 phone lines and lets you choose/upgrade the router that you want instead of being restricted to the small number of Voice routers available in the market . Saves $11/mo on modem fees from Xfinity.

The EMTA didn't work out right out of the box with Mediacom. Had to call technical support but they can't fix it remotely. Truthfully we don't even use the phone service, they just throw it in as part of the internet package, so it isn't a loss. Maybe someday I'll have a technician come out and check it.

I was told by cable vision to purchase a modem to save $10 rental fee. This modem works far better than the one I rented from optimum. Not only am I saving money my service works better. I would highly recommend this modem for optimum customers.

My Best Buy in-home advisor recommended the product. When the cable installer came his first concern was our own equipment wouldn’t be correct. When he saw this he said it’s top of the line.

bought two of those to get rid of the optimum $10 per month modem fee; it was a very easy switch, just need to call tech support at optimum and they register a new modem for the account; should pay for itself within 7-8 months

Easy installation from online and didn’t have to call Optimum, everything was done on the computer. Just google it how to install it. Wants I got confirmation that was installed, I returned rental to Optimum store.

replaced our prior rented Optimum-supplied Arris with this model, this one is on the Optimum list of compatible models, a quick call to Optimum to get the new one up and running was all it took, works fine so far

bought this to replace my comcast router, but when it was delivered i realized i ordered the wrong thing and took it back to my local bestbuy, they didn' give me any hassle and let me trade it right there for the right one!

I have a new roommate who needed a land line phone. I bought this and it works great. I did not want to pay the cable company 13.00 for renting their modem. I own this one and there are no more rental fees.
