Modem works great and saved me money too ~ internet company allowed me to use this modem in place of theirs because it was compatible ~ thank you Best Buy for carrying this modem ~

I purchased this product to replace my Spectrum cable modem and save money on monthly rental.
The product works great and allows me to maximize my cable internet speed to 400 MB.

I paid almost $200 for this device and expect a lot better, this is the most disappointing purchase I’ve made in a long time. I ignored the bad reviews and listened to the Best Buy associate’s advice to “save some money” rather than buying a Netgear Nighthawk or something else with proven reliability. That was a mistake I won’t make again. Best Buy should take this product off their shelves and offer us our money back.

All Eris routers, g34 and g36, that a recommended for Xfinity do not work. Let me rephrase that they do not work at all and drop signal constantly. Do not buy anything from Eris ever. I have been in the middle of a 3-day nightmare working with 15 different technicians from Xfinity and this router is garbage. Stay far away from this company and everything that they make. The sooner they go out of business the better for all of us. All they do is waste people's time and money and energy. The support for this modem is also garbage. Save yourself a lot of time and frustration and just don't do it. Do not buy this piece of garbage.

I was sold two different modems, both I had to return due to Non compatibility of what I needed, even though I explained it needed to be compatible with Cox and with Tel Line. ( Land Line) The two didn't have a port for a land line. ;(
I heard the brand is really good, but make sure you get what you need.

So the upstream QAM which will mean nothing to a lot of people needs to be at a certain power level like 45 to 60. Most cable companies. It seems like run at 35 to 40. You will constantly lose connection. Your ISP will ignore you Arris doesn't have a good answer for you this is a bad product and false advertisement

So far, so good. However, the box says it's Wi-Fi6, but on the computer screen it says it's Wi-Fi5. Not sure what that's all about. Still better than renting a modem/router.
